When will the media discuss Bush's "ordinary guy" blue shirt?
Edited on Wed Aug-18-04 10:55 AM by Joanne98
He's been wearing the damn thing for two weeks and they haven't said a word. If French Kerry did this they would be talking about "Yacht club lunches" and "million dollar mansions." They would also say he should change his shirt because it stinks. You would think ol' fat Candy "buttercup" Crowley would at least notice Dubya hasn't changed his dirty stinking clothes since she's such a fashion expert. I think we should start an e-mail campaign accusing 'buttercup" of having fantasies about the chimps sweaty armpits. What do ya think?

http://edition.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form5.html?6

She doesn't have her own e-mail but this is the inside politics link.
I know this is sooooooo shallow and sooooooo petty but to Candy "style" is more important than anything. I'm going to e-mail her right now BEFORE she opens her daily mouth.

6. I don't see any fun in this
Don't you get tired of repukes belly aching about dems and what they say, do, or wear, but the repukes are guilty of the very same things they accuse the dems of? Damn...it gets on my nerves.

5. So what?
Look how they went after Gore because of him wearing "earth tones". Khrist, they beat that to death 24/7. I am sick and tired of the way the media whores go after a dem over ANYTHING.....but when it comes to repukes and that smirking chimp they get by with whatever bullshit they can come up with. I am really tired of the unfairness of it all.

10. I hope this means your on my side.
It does work when we embarrass them with their own BS. I think they hate getting made fun of more than anything. Media Whores take themselves very seriously. Besides if Kerry did this she would be on it everyday.

13. C'mon
You have to admit that a blue shirt isn't really in the same league as earth tones. Earth tones have news value. The people have a right to know about dangerous earth tones.:( And when they're worn by a Democrat, that makes it story of the year!

17. LOL
Who can forget how we were are educated in 2000 about how Al Gore's "earth tones" were sending subliminal messages to female voters. It was nice to find out what the media thinks of women. We all vote on fashion cues. We never think about the issues.

7. Here's the e-mail I just sent
Dear Buttercup,
I'm a big fan of yours and have alot of respect for your sense of style. I know how hard it must be for a 'big' women like yourself to dress in a way that's makes you look 100 pounds thinner but somehow you manage it day after day with your sharp sense of fashion. Which is why I've been puzzled over your lack of remarks about President Bush's blue working man shirt. Don't you think two weeks in the same shirt is a "fashion crime"? We all know he was "appointed by Gawd" to save our country, how can you let him walk around everyday in the same blue shirt? Wouldn't you tell the President if he had a buger hanging out of his nose? Please try to send him a message today. I'm sure if you do it he'll change his stinky clothes because everybody knows your the "queen of good taste and culture".

hee hee hee hee heeeeeeeeee heeeeeeee

No disrespect to 'big' women. Big women are beautiful unless their Bush lovers. :)

14. You get it??????
Do you think Candy will get it to? Maybe I should e-mail her again and ask her if "political fashion crime" comedy will motivate her into talking about the issues for a change? Nothing else seems to work. Maybe we can shame her into it.

11. That's what I'm trying to do
if the media whores think they have to comment on BOTH candidates fashion crimes then they will just shut up about the whole thing. That's the plan anyway. I'm surprised nobody gets this. I really, really, really don't want to listen to clothes, hair, food, style but they're already starting with the "French" thing. CNN reported yesterday that Kerry has a "french" hairstylist. Since cussing them out doesn't work, (something I do everyday) maybe ridicule will. It works for Jon Stewart.

15. I get it!
And I love it!:toast: I just think it might be a little more effective if you also threw in a couple of sentences about how she does comment constantly about Dems clothing. It would just make her double standard more clear. But it's a funny letter. Send more.:)

16. Okay. I just asked Candy what to do about her.
Dear Candy,
My left-wing America-hating, Kerry-loving, French commie friends don't think I should sink to your shallow level by commenting on Bush's blue shirt. They think it's bad enough that people like you take up our precious airwaves with your 'political fashion stories". They're right of course. We need a real media to discuss serious problems BUT we have YOU instead........ what would YOU do to get lazy, whorish, good for nothing, news readers to do their jobs? I'm sure you know more than me what a huge problem YOU are. Will ridicule work? Should we pass a law that gives the death penalty to lazy journalists who abuse our airways with "style, hair and french food" comments. Or should we just work at turning you into a huge joke everday? Do you have any suggestions?

18. Apparently Candy did this yesterday
CROWLEY: Now, you all know that in election years, nothing goes unanswered. Nothing. But sometimes responses take a little while.

We want to begin this story about a year ago, when John Kerry went to Philadelphia and a famous cheese steak place called Pat's. There he ordered, of course, a cheese steak, but he ordered it with Swiss cheese. That's kind of a food faux pas in Philadelphia. You're supposed to order it with Cheez Whiz, maybe American, but Swiss cheese, definitely a faux pas.

Now who notices these kinds of things? As it turned out, the Bush campaign did. Did we mention that the president was near Philadelphia today?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GEORGE W. BUSH: You know, this is my 32nd visit to your state since I've been president. A lot of people wonder why I'm coming so much. It ought to be obvious to you; I like my cheese steak Wiz with.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CROWLEY: There were also complaints at the time that John Kerry took dainty bites of his Philadelphia cheese steak. Unfortunately, the president did not get into that.

A FOOD FAUX PAS?
You mean Kerry didn't eat his cheese steak with American cheese? OMG. Candy would know about proper food fashion since she's an expert at eating.
So there you have it. Buttercup saz, "Kerry isn't strong enough to protect us from terra because he eats his cheese steak with Swiss cheese and he takes dainty bites. (Something Candy never does).

Do you think she's thinks this is funny? Let's ask her.

19. My last e-mail of the day to 'Buttercup"
Dear Candy,
It just came to my attention that yesterday, you did THIS.
CROWLEY:
We want to begin this story about a year ago, when John Kerry went to Philadelphia and a famous cheese steak place called Pat's. There he ordered, of course, a cheese steak, but he ordered it with Swiss cheese. That's kind of a food faux pas in Philadelphia. I didn't know you were a "food fashion expert" TOO. Gawd your talented. I don't know what our country would do without your valueable insights. And to think, I missed you yesterday. Have you thought about replacing Martha Stewart while she's in prison? Not only are you an expert on the importance of "sending subliminal earth tones messages" to female voters but you know how to match sandwiches with the proper cheeses. VERY IMPORTANT STUFF. It must have took years at the finest schools to understand "food fashion". No wonder your such a 'big' girl. There's no way I'm missing your show today.
Truthfully now, doesn't it just AMAZE you that you actually get paid a salary for what you do? It amazes me. I'll be waiting breathlessly by my boob tube to see what you have to say about 2 week old "ordinary working man" blue shirts that just happen to go so well with good ol American whiz cheese. It all makes sense
now. I'll let you get back to preparing today's show. I'm sure your hunkered down with your "fashion sense think-tank team". Carry on Candy. Our country needs you.

Will she CARE? Hell no. But it was entertaining and it's was good creative writing skills practice. Maybe she'll do something even funnier today.
