3. JK and THK speak in complete sentences too.
Edited on Wed Aug-18-04 12:43 AM by goclark
That would be a welcoming change.

THK also can express her own thoughts. That is a welcoming change

The make believe cowboy who can't ride a horse...

The "librarian" with a husband who does not read...

What a blot on our nation.

Out damn spots,out!

I won't hold it against Shrubby for never serving in a war, but I will hold it against him for being a chickenhawk.

He also blew up several frogs invading from south of the border.

8. Dont hold it against him for being a liar, and a theif....
But I do hold it against him for all the guys I saw at Fort Sam houston texas, missing limbs, missing eyes, horribly burned......for nothing. I am a US Army laboratory technitian. I hate the fact that our boys are dying....and he doesnt care. We are making vast improvements in Iraq, but he would rather cut our pay and benefits....He is a two faced wanna be ivy league texan....He should not only be voted out...when the draft comes back, he needs to be inducted into the infantry.

11. Oh man, simple questions kill them

I spent years arguing with dittoheads, and then figured out all you have to do is ask one or two simple questions.

They spout bullshit talking points but don’t even think about what they are repeating.

One simple question .. It makes them think and breaks the spell.

"Name three things Bush has done that were good for you"

The deer in the headlights stare is priceless.

Its so easy its hilarious!

12. Ooo, that's a good one too!
"Name three things Bush has done that were good for you." Wham! Bambi has been hit by a semi! I gotta try this one tomorrow if I run into any knuckle-draggers I know. Lately, I have been harassing ANYONE within earshot that I perceive to be a Bush supporter.

13. No, don’t harrass them, try this ..

Maybe you are talking about message boards, that’s a different beast entirely, the gloves come off in places like that.

I'm talking face to face, like when you are at party, at work, or a family gathering, etc .. with some dittohead spouting off their bullshit.

Don’t be confrontational. Agree that they have a point, then ask a simple question. Like ..

The last Democrat president created 22 million new jobs, why is George Bush so good?

Trust me, it works. Plus you don’t get mad and argue... just a simple question and the loud mouth will fold like a house of cards.

Try it, and you will get better at it each time.

Plus its fun and hilarious to watch the deer in the headlights reactions!!

15. I didn't mean "harass" them in a confrontational way... more like mess
with their minds. I should have been more clear.

Like you said, I always begin by agreeing that they have a point. This is an excellent psychological tactic. If they ask my political affiliation I say libertarian or independent, depending on the circumstances, or sometimes I say none at all. If they talk about the Clintons, I just nod my head in agreement, but then remind them that "that was then and this is now." - try that phrase sometime.

That is the key. Use short talking points that cause them to question the information being temporarily stored in the frontal lobe, after their daily FOX brainwashing session. Perhaps DUers should develop a "plan of action for the week," that provides a redux of FOX/GOP talking points compared to contradictory statements made months before. Bush&Co have spent decades training the sheeple to respond to short phrases/talking points. We need to take advantage of this ourselves and use it as an asset... kinda like Aikido where one uses the energy and weight of the opponent against himself.
