Watching that poor GI on CNN right now who lost both his legs in June. They're fitting him with hightech prosthetics.
Isn't that SWELL?
Can you imagine, in Bush's VA system, what's going to happen when the glitches start appearing, and he needs help, and has to wait six months for an appointment?
My dad spent the last 7 years of his life in a VA hospital, and it wasn't pretty: they did their best, but they were understaffed then, over fifteen years ago. I can't imagine what it must be like now.
How can Vets be for that cretin?
I was in DC last March, when the war started, and congress voted, as it began, for a HUGE reduction in benefits. I marched on with the Vets for Peace. We went to the VA, where emotions ran high, and the talk was angrily against this poseur.
People need to know about this gigantic disconnect, and cheap PR stories like the one CNN just ran, exploiting this poor man, and his fellow soldiers who will never be the same, be it physically or emotionally.
