What's up with the VP debate?

I heard last night on Tweety that the VP debate would be a sit down occasion. Tell me it ain't so. Why would you have your ace-in-the-hole trial lawyer sitting down with Dick--ad Cheney? Wouldn't you want him up in his lawyerly posture to slay the evil dragon? Why would Kerry-Edwards agree to that faux-debate format? The Kerry campaing should tell Bush Cheney to debate like men. Stand up and debate like real men. None of this pansy-a-- sit down crap. If * and Cheney don't want to do it like real men, depict them as scared to face real questions. I feel like they rolled over on the debate issue. Please tell me I'm wrong.

1. Sadly, the electorate is too stupid to follow a Harvard Debate Society

type real debate and instead like to have their "debates" boiled down to glorified infomercial status.

3. John Edwards is so dynamic though - there's no doubt he can 'Elvis' the

crowd if allowed the freedom to roam.

If they limit him to sitting across from the death head, I think JE can still dazzle viewers with his presence, sincerity and substance.
