Swiftsmears cast doubt on ALL service awards now!

I mean, basically they have claimed that Kerry himself awarded his medals by falsifying after action reports, correct? Now doesn't this open up a pandoras box and cast doubt on ALL medals awarded to our brave service men and women?! The Swiftsmears are willing to drag our military through the mud just to get at Kerry, and question the military's ability to properly award medals to deserving receipients! Now it appears it is quite EASY to get even the highest awards in the military simply by turning in a fake piece of paper! In attacking Kerry this way, the Swiftsmears have taken our honorable men and women who fought bravely and distinquishly and left their deeds "open for intepretation"!!! Republicans DO NOT SUPPORT OUR MILITARY..they take the words of some partisan hacks over the official records of our NAVY!!! I think we should bring this perspective up more frequently when confronting Freepers. Has anyone else argued this perspective with a Freeper and, if so, what was their response?

5. You're right. And Bush did not disavow the ad.

I wonder how many decorated vets this is going to cost Bush's side. Bush refused to disavow the ads on Larry King or even have his people do it in news conferences. That says a lot about him.

7. There was some A&D (Awards&Decorations) inflation in the 'Nam.

It was seldom done at a level below O-5 (Lt. Col.). O-3s in the heat of battle (as was Kerry) usually got what they deserved. Enlisted grunts often got short-changed. I was an A&D officer. I know the system first hand.

But you are absolutely right. The Chicken-hawks have demeaned the entire A&D concept. They are usurping unquestionably honorable military service (McCain, Cleland, Kerry, and whoever-is-in-there-scopes-next) for their short-term political gain.
