Those inane "W" 04 bumper stickers!
For one thing I don't think it's smart for the repugs to boast about that kind of IQ.

Also, from a marketing/positioning standpoint, considering the political awareness of Joe and Josephine Sixpack, I don't know that too many can comprehend the W thing. Let's face it, there are far too many people who don't know who our supposed leaders are; thus, a "W" on a bumper sticker isn't going to click with them.

Of course, for us, this is good. I'm a bit suprised that Rowe let's this slide. Unless, there is something to the Cheney replacement possibility, eh?

I am seeing too many Bush/Cheney yard signs, though. Of course, I live in a pretty affluent repug area but still, it's disconcerting.

On the other hand, I saw a couple Kerry bumper stickers today.

This, no doubt, leads me to conclude that, uh, that, er, hell, I don't know. Just an observation.

1. I have seen very few lately

It's like the Scarlet Letter. I still maintain there are Shrub voters out there, but they are mainly fundies or anti-Democratic voters.

They know their Boy King is an abject failure and a total nincompoop. They want the buffoon to win, but they don’t want to admit it. I am seeing Kerry stickers all around. I work in Sterling and drive through Clarke and Loudon Counties in Virginia, both huge Repuke strong-holds, especially Loudon which paves their roads with money.

6. That's my thinking too.
They know Bush* is a failure and are ashamed to publicly admit they support him. They are still among us, just not willing to show their stupidity.

2. I'm always tempted to get a few and rearrange them
into a "K."

There was a radio station here years ago that had bumper stickers that people cut up and rearranged into a vulgarity.

15. I do carry a black sharpie in my car
At CostCo the other day some repuke pulled in right in front of me with a Bush/Cheney sticker and I actually followed her in the store. I came out well before her, got in my car, pulled out the sharpie, and had devious thoughts of slashing sticker but frankly the lot was too crowded to risk it. But, I tell ya, given the right circumstances I would do it.

5. it's a clever marketing trick.
I can hand it to them. It is along the lines of all those oval abbreviation stickers people put on their cars like ONT, STL, etc.

They are all about marketing. People do see through it though. If they want to say they are the party of DUUBBBYA and Jessica Simpson and Britney Spears...they can be my guest.

I'll take JFK, Clinton, Barak Obama and the others.

12. Saw a good one the other day
Exact copy of standard issue Bush/Cheney 2004 sticker. As I passed the car, my revulsion turned to delight and envy. Instead of '2004' it said 'FOR PRISON'.
Where can I get one??

16. I generally don't like stickers like that
Unless you are really looking at it, it makes it seem like it a sticker supporting bush.

13. I saw one yesterday...
Here in NE PA. It was an oval - W04 - and, of course, in red, white and blue with a little flag. I haven't seen any Kerry Edwards stickers.

17. Sticker sightings around Pittsburgh, PA
Not long ago it was 3:1 Bush stickers over Kerry but now it's nearly even. I see more W' 04 than B/C - it's kinda of a status symbol for the huge, new SUV types.

My fav recent sighting: "The road to hell is paved with republicans"
