The I-4 Corridor runs across Interstate 4 from Tampa to Orlando.

The Florida coordinated campaign has joined the grassroots movement in Polk County, and now they need your support to elect Democrats all the way up the ticket to Kerry-Edwards.

Come meet Emily Sapienza who is the Kerry coordinator for Polk County. Find out about the campaign, and get involved in this historic election. Please click here to RSVP. Venue: The First Baptist Institutional Church, 932 Dr. Martin Luther King Avenue, Lakeland. It is at the S.W. corner of M. L. K. Avenue and US 92 (Memorial Blvd), the first light west of South Florida Avenue.

1. Kick for anyone from Tampa to Orlando.
I want people to know that many of us are involved in being activist, forming new coalitions, and being good Democrats.

2. Bring items for the storm victims. Email from our group.
Dear Friends,

Ron Martin has asked me to pass along this request, and I agree it is a wonderful idea! He lives in Fort Meade, one of the hardest hit areas of Polk County during Hurricane Charley, and fortunately his home only received minor damage (a couple of small holes in his roof and tree damage around his yard). That said, he was back at work at the Bartow Wal-Mart bright and early at 8:00 AM Saturday morning (they were letting customers in one at a time accompanied by an associate as they were powered by a generator, according to the Ledger).

As everyone knows --- or at least, should know --- there is a Community Action Meeting scheduled for 6:00 this evening to discuss to learn more about the Kerry-Edwards campaign in Polk County, then the I-4 Corridor Group and the Democracy for America Meetup are co-sponsoring the area's Democratic Congressional Candidate Forum at 7:30. Both events will be held at the First Baptist Institutional Church, 932 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue at the intersection of Memorial Boulevard in Lakeland.

Ron is asking that everyone who attends to make an effort to bring to tonight's events any non-perishable items that you can donate to help those affected by the hurricane. Cereal, handiwipes, personal items, snacks...whatever you can bring would certainly help. Ron will see that those items are taken to the appropriate point. It will help those in need while also showing the people of our area that the Polk County Democratic Party truly cares about our fellow citizens.

Ron's e-mail is definitely working, and his phone is back in action. If you have any questions, contact him at ........(ask me if you are near by and going.)
