What is John Kerry's greatest political strength ?
In this election, I think it his military experience and his record as serving in combat. The Party, thru the primary process, picked him becase of those reasons, in my opinion. We had to have someone to challenge the "war-time" president. Naturally, he would run on his strengths. And the Repubs charge him as being the one to bring his Viet Nam service into the campaign. Why shouldn't he? That is his strength.

Just as George W Bush brought terrorism into the campaign as an issue He thinks that is his strength. How effective would it be if Kerry were to attack Bush on his strengths in the same manner the Repubs have attacked him on his strengths? Should he?

5. He's seems very statesmanlike
I get the impression that anything Kerry does as president will be well thought out. I think he will look at the BIG picture rather than pandering to one group (like the religious right) and will do what's right for this country AND the world.

6. He's a fighter
Not just Vietnam, his entire record is that of someone who fights for what he believed in, before anybody else was willing to take on those fights.

12. He's not Bush.
If he get's in there, something else might appear. Quiet and reclusive might be what he is really. It might be a "breath of fresh air," or considered a liability by an America whose been through Hell with Bush for 4 years.

 I answered honestly.
