Bay Buchanan just said it again on Butterqueen's show. She said * isn't the one making an issue of Vietnam, Kerry is. They always imply that if Kerry talks about his service, it's open season.

The Dem surrogates never have a response! Why the * not? I can think of several without trying very hard. How about: "Of course * is not making an issue of Vietnam. It's a losing issue for him"
Or: "So, just because Kerry mentions his service in a truthful manner, it's OK for others to spread lies about it? I don't understand your logic."

Get some talking points out there. Should we help them come up with replies to these stupid repuke statements that are repeated endlessly? Maybe we could forward our list to Dem Strategist.

1. I often wish I could fill in for some of those talking heads
but I have the feeling it's not as easy as it looks.

2. My response is...
Well, we may not have all the details at our fingertips but, we do know that John Kerry was in Nam with bullets going past his head. Having never been in the military I for one tend to yield on such matters as "should we send in troops" to people who have seen combat. My sentiment is that those people understand what it means to get shot at and are better prepared to make those tough decisions.
