1. Cripes! Talk about missing the point!

Selling doesn't happen with large groups. That happens in small, face to face groups. Large groups are there to convince people that there are a lot of other people out there in the world who think the same things they do.

Think about it. The reasoned debate between moderates on the abortion issue makes a completely different point than having a million pissed-off women marching on the Washington DC mall did. Both are valid points, and both are valid strategies.

Like it or not, some people are just herd animals, and will follow whichever herd looks bigger and more protective, and this is wby the huge numbers of people marching and yelling that Bush is the rottenest excuse for a human being we've ever been cursed with as a president is so important.
