Is this to be taken seriously? I heard this on Faux, so I'm already extra-skeptical. Is this poll even legitimate?

3. Considering the Chimp Junta was in charge
and it happened on their watch - maybe so. I do feel like the commission was a white wash.

4. If you are a skeptic, then you should understand these statistics.
I am not saying not to question the poll or the fact that fox reported it, but if Dems are finding fault with the US government in 9.11 (for whatever reason), then where's the problem?

5. Maybe they mean U.S. as in
Chimp and his Administration?

6. Who else is responsible?
There is certainly a REASON why they hate us...and that reason is our behavior...so yes, the USA was responsible in a way. I think most people realize this.

7. uh...
There is a difference between finding fault and taking responsibility. It may have been preventable, but government agents didn't fly the planes in.

10. PEW LINK :
Here's a link to the most recent Pew Poll

<http://people-press.org/reports/display.php3?ReportID=222>

And it is slightly mis-quoted from the original post...

Republicans and Democrats now hold sharply divergent views on a range of foreign policy attitudes, including the use of torture, the proper balance between fighting terrorism and protecting civil liberties, and even the root causes of the 9/11 attacks. Since late September 2001, a growing number of Democrats (51%) and independents (45%) believe that U.S. wrongdoing in dealings with other countries might have motivated the 9/11 attacks. Republicans reject that view even more decisively than three years ago (76% now, 65% in late September 2001)...

11. like I thought
the headline of this thread distorts the actual question, and distorts it in a way that RWers often do. They take crucial, critical questions about U.S. actions and turn it into "Blame America First." :puke:

12. This sure as hell doesn't say 51% of Dems blame U.S for 9/11.
Edited on Thu Aug-19-04 05:15 PM by bowens43
Anyone who thinks that these people just woke up one day and said "Hey, I have an idea. Let's all hate Americans". US policies are at least partially responsible for the hatred felt toward us by so many. To deny this is not only stupid, it's dangerous.

14. The FAUX fudge fact is 8.85% slanted in their favor.
So rounding things off in the polls it would be 60% of all Americans blame the U.S. for 911. FAUX also like to twist things around a little.
