Let's thank Chris Matthews (I won't even call him Tweety tonight)
Look, I'm not a fan of his -- I even had words with him in Boston a few weeks ago -- but I think his handling of these Swift Boat Liars for Bush has really been a public service.
Let's thank him and reward this level of responsible journalism:

4. Long story short
In Boston for convention, Tweety broadcasting from Quincy Market. He came over to sign autographs and started talking with people, so I took my shot: Why do you never hold this administration accountable for anything? When are you and other journalists going to start challenging them on these ongoing outrages?
Tweets: that's ALL I do (rolling eyes)
Me: No you don't
Tweets: you should watch the show more often
Me: I watch every night, and you allow them to get away with everything.

(not exact words, mind you, but the gist)
It went on a while longer, with him suggesting he does hold them accountable, and me pointing out how he went after the Clinton administration for every imagined scandal....
He eventually moved on to talk to other people and soak up some "love" from fans, but he seemed disturbed that he was confronted on this in public.
And I have to think it happened throughout the week -- he was broadcasting in public venues in a town filled with Dems -- I'm hoping he got an earful from plenty of peeps.

3. Has something changed?
I recommended thanking him in another thread, and got royally attacked for my trouble.

I'm glad to see there are others who are willing to acknowledge him when he goes after the truths

Thanks for posting!

Kanary

7. Oh dear. This URL seems to go to
someone other than Matthews. In fact, it goes to Georgie! Why would I want any positive reinforcement to him? And why would YOU want that? We both want him out of office. Right?

10. I do believe that when he went to the hospital
and saw the amputees, blinded, and forever incapaciated soldiers, something snapped in him.

As a human being who once had at least a glimmer of conscience, that sight is hard to take - suddenly, it wasn't all bravado and BS anymore. He saw damaged young men and women and for a cause which he himself knows is BS.
