The reason why the far-right uses character assasination
Edited on Fri Aug-20-04 02:16 AM by DaveSZ
In a fair debate, they can't win on most issues (especially economic issues).

How many Americans support stripping overtime pay from millions of their fellow Americans for example?

3. Demagoguery and the politics of hate are all they've got.
It works when the populace is dumb as rocks from decades of media mind control and willful ignorance.

4. Most polls show something interesting..

Kerry trumps W on the issues, but W wins on "character" issues except for one (Kerry was identified as being more "Caring" of people, duuuuh).
This was also seen in 2000. People agree more with the Democrats ON THE ISSUES but give greater weight in the character department :eyes:

7. And the Fear card
If this administration can somehow make the public believe that JK is going to physically hurt them...they will vote for W.

6. Because the right cannot discuss ISSUES rationally !
NO ONE would buy their BULLSHIT if you actually discussed HEALTH CARE, THE WAR IN IRAQ, THE ECONOMY, ETC.!!! Look what they did to Clinton over a goddam blowjob. And that's ALL they had to work with.

8. That's why they love diversionary wars....
...We have to stand behind our "president" while there are boots on the ground.

And they will ALWAYS have "boots on the ground".
