NYC Protests - Things Like This Concern Me
Phone numbers, addresses, and e-mails of over 1600 RNC delegates!

Today we are releasing a list of delegates to the 2004 Republican National Convention. This list includes the names, address, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses of RNC delegates in addition to what hotel each one is staying at during their invasion of New York City.

"The earth is not dying, it is being killed. And those that are killing it have names and addresses."
— Utah Phillips

Our objectives are to:
- Supply anti-RNC groups with data on the delegates to use in whatever way they see fit.
- Supply a body of information that can be easily added to.
- Encourage the republishing and redistribution of this data.
- Facilitate making local connections. Many of these delegates are involved in politics and business on a town or county level.

3. I agree
Problem is many people not only associate Indymedia with the Democratic Party, but the media aren't going to differentiate should something occur.

15. the indymedia is associated with radicals, NOT DEMS.
The only people that would associate indymedia with DEMS is wingnuts. DEMS aint all that radical no matter how much they think they might be and very few DEMS are ever involved higher up in these mass protests. Most DEMS are too busy wringing their hands and whining about somebody making them look bad and "ruining things for us".

6. How soon before the corpwhoremedia picks up on this--
guarantee Oxycontin Rush will have it connected to Kerry or the Dems today.

This is bad--REAL bad.

It's immoral, first, and it will make us look despicable. How do we stop it?

Edit: Crap--they want your e-mail, which will be published ON THE PAGE.

Can't do that; far too risky.

Edit 2: You can rate the article, I gave it -1 (terrible).

19. That organization believes there is no difference between Dems & Repubs
clearly delusional. That stance might have made sense in 2000, but today, it is ridiculous.

10. My LTE of indymedia.org:
Let me begin by saying that my Democratic, left wing credentials are pretty much beyond reproach. I'm a faithful contributor and volunteer to Democratic politics and a vocal supporter of John Kerry's presidential bid. I'm also a longtime member of Democratic Underground, which is where this item was brought to my attention.

That being said, I am appealing to you to please remove the following item from your site:

http://dc.indymedia.org/feature/display/103836/index.php

This is a despicable, immoral tactic to "win" over people exercising their First Amendment rights. Not only that, it paints the entire left wing of American politics in a reactionary, thuglike, light. Furthermore, there are criminal and liability issues I don't believe you would care to have come back upon your organization.

Politics is a dirty business, granted. But this is simply un-American. Please consider my request to remove it.

By the way, I would post a protest myself, but I don't care to have my e-mail address published.

12. Here's an answer from someone
ATTN: PEOPLE

You're in essance writing comments asking anarchists to take into consideration how this will make the Democrats look, Figure it fucking out!! They consider both Republicans AND Democrats to be fascists. Appealing to these individuals to reconsider is as stupid as you can get. They aren't going to listen to Kerry supporters. You're as much the enemy to them as Bush is.

17. Good.
Problem is that's just going to add more fuel to the fire with the Indymedia types. They'll just see this as another attempt by the powers that be to silence them.

18. This is a relief
I saw your post in ATA, which led me here. I agree with you 100%!

Whether I agree with the RNC or not, delegates are mostly made up of ordinary American citizens like you and I. We wouldn't want their side to do this to us - no way, no how!

It's a relief to know they pulled it. Hopefully level heads over there pounded some common sense into the knuckleheads who thought it was a good idea to post that crap.
