In defense of internment? The case for racial profiling?

Please.

5. I caught her on Real Time
She's one seriously snotty biatch. Even Ann Coulter's presence on Bill Maher's show would tend to liven things up, but when Michelle Malkin came on, I wanted to throw my beer bottle at the screen.

8. They had to sink pretty low to get her
Is it me, or do some of those non-white male Wingers that the Right trots out there to show their diversity seem to have rather light resumes prior to their 'ascendence' as pundits?

I mean, other than being gorgeous (in my opinion), does she really deserve to get the attention that she does?

2. You shouldn't. However, it's interesting to see what happens to FAUX
people like Malkin or O'Reilly when they venture outside of their comfort zone. They are a one channel product.

20. well, they're both cozy with right wing sleaze bags

so why not link them?

MT was not a friend of the poor. She was a friend of poverty. She said that suffering was a gift from God. She spent her life opposing the only known cure for poverty, which is the empowerment of women and the emancipation of them from a livestock version of compulsory reproduction. And she was a friend to the worst of the rich, taking misappropriated money from the atrocious Duvalier family in Haiti (whose rule she praised in return) and from Charles Keating of the Lincoln Savings and Loan. Where did that money, and all the other donations, go? The primitive hospice in Calcutta was as run down when she died as it always had been—she preferred California clinics when she got sick herself—and her order always refused to publish any audit. But we have her own claim that she opened 500 convents in more than a hundred countries, all bearing the name of her own order. Excuse me, but this is modesty and humility?

11. Kabuki villian.
Funny stuff.

Personally, I'm kind of on the fence. On the one hand, I think people like her and Coulter help our side, because they are so far out there people are repulsed by them. On the other hand, they serve a purpose for the right, by making someone like Bush and people of his ilk look more mainstream. "Sure, Bush is the most right wing president in history, but the real right wing crazies are for internment! George would never be for that!" goes the reasoning.

Overall, the less attention paid to people like her the better, unless mainstream Republicans start embracing them. Then they become wonderful targets, and a clear example that things have gone too insanely far. But until then, all they do is make the extreme look moderate, and I think that's what their real intent has been all along.

16. great point
I always make that point - Coulter, Limbaugh, Malkin, etc are out there to be so extreme that when somebody like Bush comes along, he looks mainstream conservative by comparison and a John McCain, who would have been a Barry Goldwater extremist in 1964, is now a considered a moderate.

7. I had never seen or heard her before last night, that I recall anyway
but listening to the crap coming out of her mouth on Hardball last night I told my husband, "Well, this is what everyone will be talking about tomorrow." Matthews made her look like a fool in my opinion but she still got her spew out there.

9. I hope Jon Stewart brings her on his show. He'll rip her a new one
in his own inimitable style.
It's uncanny how Coulterish she is. Without the charm. And the honesty.

10. Brian Lamb had her on Cspan "Booknotes" a while ago
I saw a repeat of it. She wrote a book criticizing our cavalier immigration policies.

Ya wanna know something funny? She attended Oberlin College for undergraduate work, one of America's most liberal colleges. She related that she "just did not fit in".

(Every Ohio grade schooler learned that Oberlin was among the first school to admit blacks.)

I have been noticing her for awhile. I find her scarier than Coulter for some reason. I can't even watch Malkin on tv I have to switch the channel.

15. Now she seems to know the difference between self - inflicted
and shooting ones self on purpose but last night she wouldn't answer the question when Chris asked her if she thought Kerry did it on purpose. All she would have had to say is " No" but she didn't because she did want to leave the impression he did it on purpose.

17. Just a waste of skin and gravity...
That kills trees and tepidly excites electrons, leading to pixel manipulation.

On the other hand, why should you care?

Because for the base 35% of Americans who would swallow a bowling ball is Chimpy said "swallow", they will swallow her bilge as well, hook, line and sinker. Hers is, sadly, the flesh made word for them.

It is unwise to merely sniff in disdain at your opponents tactics and maneuvers.

Sociopathology is a growth industry in America.

page for at least two years now.

Sadly, people DO take her seriously.

21. Even Ted Bundy had his fans...
It's scary to think that there are people out there who take that woman seriously. Although I doubt she will ever be invited back onto Hardball. Chris Matthews chewed her out pretty good before they went to break and then Keith Olbermann chimed in during his show an hour later -- so the whole network was appauled by what she said.

But she still got in front of a live camera for her adoring fans...

~shudderes~

:eyes:

Rocky Mountain News gives her an underserved platform once a week. What bottom feeders! Here's her latest chicken scratch. They must be embarrassed about her, since she's not on the website.
