2. I heard that odious creature O'Neill last night
on Lou Dobbs' program. Dobbs said he had invited someone to also speak from the Kerry campaign but they cancelled at the last minute. I think the campaign is planning something. At any rate, I found so much stuff on the web to debunk that "soldiers letter to Kerry" slime that was going around it wasn't funny.

7. O'Neill Was also on Hannity and Colmes
and they kept saying the Kerry campaign cancelled at the last minute - why is that? I was thinking the Kerry campaign heard us and was going to censor Faux.

Chris Heinz was still on MSNBC - with Deborah Norville.

3. What nonsense.
Kerry won the nomination because he did all the right things to win it. He out-campaigned and out-organized the opposition.

I'm a Dean supporter who is still very disappointed that Dean is not the nominee, who is simply not crazy about Kerry as a candidate. Indeed, it would be very easy to make the case that it was the media who destroyed Dean's campaign and got Kerry the nomination. And while there is an element of truth there, the collapse of Dean's candidacy was quite unrelated to Kerry's war record.

Kerry's military service is simply one aspect of him, one of the many things that appealed to many voters. It certainly is one of the very positive aspects of the man.

And make no mistake. No matter who the nominee would have been, he'd be being attacked mercilessly. With Kerry, it's the military service and what he did (or did not) accomplish as Senator. Were Edwards at the top of the ticket, trial lawyering would be the main avenue of attack. If Dean, it would be his being Governor of a small, insignificant state not being proper background for running the country. And on and on.

Kerry isn't perfect, either as a man or as a candidate, but he's infinitely better than W.

5. If CNN is doing this for ratings
they are on the wrong track. After all Fox has their loyal viewers that do not even bother with CNN. It just boggles my mind that they are turning off the viewers that they have now. Can you imagine how great their ratings would be if they only told the truth or at least were fair with their coverage. Now they are only hurting themselves and after awhile their advertisers will begin to notice. No one is watching.

Air America Radio sponsors will be getting my business. Their ratings are climbing and they are adding more stations all the time.

10. Air America is not even in Los Angeles

As much as I love AA it is only heard when I am sitting in front of my computer.

CNN is heard by millions all day and all night.

We have got to keep up the heat on CNN.

We can sit back and not watch. That is good for our blood pressure but not good for winning in November.

CNN is the main source of news for people waking up to politics. They don't know what we know. They think CNN is the good guy.

11. Heard by Millions?
Check again...Maybe 400,000 at its absolute peak. The myth that cable news is watched regularly by anyone except shut-ins and the mentally disturbed persists on DU.

8. And why did Bush win the nomination?
if they want to get into how people won, that would be a VERY interesting discussion.

12. Your right Deep Modem Mom

I think contacting CNN is a serious issue.

We can say they don't matter but they do matter.

They are constantly on TV and constantly spilling propaganda.
They are out to totally destroy Kerry and we can not let that happen.
