lets call on Republicans to defend Kerry
maybe we can get a list of republicans from moderate to left leaning areas and demand they defend kerry and comdemn the attacks on kerry's service. demand they also call on bush to condemn those who are attacking kerry's service.

lets make these republicans feel threatened politically, especially if they are up for election this year so they feel a need to do this in order to win their election.

when people see republicans defending kerry it will be more effective since it can't be blown off as just democrats defending their candidate. it will also make bush look bad.

Chris Shays so far has done this, but it would be good to get more to do it.

for those in California (and outside of California)lets target Arnold. he already knows bush is not popular in the state and that's why he came out with a positive statement on kerry. and he said it very soon after he appeared with bush. but it's not enough to just say something positive about kerry, lets demand he condemn the attacks on kerry and call on bush to condemn the attacks on kerry AND those who are attacking kerry.

2. Good idea
I mean, I always thought John Warner was a rightwing jerk, and even he denounced this.

They want to distance themselves. Make them take a stance one way or the other!! I have a Republican governor. I'll write to him and ask him to choose: The US Navy, or the Swiftboat Liars??

3. Warner
has an independent streak. He refused to endorse Ollie North when he ran for Senate in 1994.

4. In fact, didn't Warner.....
go so far as to even field an independent candidate against North, allowing Chuck Robb to win?

5. not sure, but just the fact that he opposed North for Senate
was good enough. warner is conservative, but he one of the good old time conservatives , not the hateful extremist bunch you have now.
