The new swiftliar's ad neglects to mention that Kerry was quoting veterans
Edited on Fri Aug-20-04 11:43 AM by bigtree
and soldiers who had testified to these things.

From the testimony:

"I would like to talk, representing all those veterans, and say that several months ago in Detroit, we had an investigation at which over 150 honorably discharged and many very highly decorated veterans testified to war crimes committed in Southeast Asia, not isolated incidents but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command....

They told the stories at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country."

1. Great find! Maybe Kerry will put out a press release.
That will sure stop the firestorm, again. :)

4. let's see
Kerry should respond forcefully. Where? His office? His bedroom? Shout out to the wind? Stalk the bush campaign and heckle him?

How did the swiftliars get national coverage? Mind-melding? Chain letters? Milk cartons?

Bush got a rise out of the ad because he wrote the ad? Personally promoted the ad? Carried the ad around to the networks and dropped it in their mailboxes?

Oh, and Kerry should also set his own agenda by stopping his focus on the economy, healthcare and jobs? By pulling his new health care ad? (were you aware that a new ad is running today?) By shouting to the wind?
