How about this for a Kerry response to Siwft Boat Liars ...
"George Bush has once again relied on faulty intelegence to mislead the country by using his GOP front group, The Swift Boat Verterans, to lie about my war record in order to cover up accusations that he went AWOL from the TANG."

2. We should Pour it on
The Swift Boat Vets flap presents a wonderful opportunity to draw attention to Bush’s (shall we say, “uniquely distinquished”?) record of military service and his (administration’s and campaign’s) attack dog tactics.

But this response should also set up a more substantive focus on Bush’s failures as commander-in-chief. Our military personnel deserve a commander in chief who can be trusted to minimize unnecessary risk and defend their honor by command rather than rhetoric.

Bush has failed our men and women in military service by impulsive and badly planned military action as well as allowing the torture of POW's.

About the only thing he's done right are the photo-ops.

5. Where was Kerry when Alabama needed him?

WEB EXCLUSIVE
By Andy Borowitz
Newsweek

Aug. 18 - A new Republican-financed negative ad is accusing Democratic
presidential nominee John Kerry of fleeing to Vietnam to avoid serving
in the Alabama National Guard.

The ad, airing in most of the so-called battleground states, tries to
contrast Sen. Kerry's alleged guard-dodging with the storied Alabama
National Guard heroism of the Republican nominee, President George W.
Bush.

In the ad, a narrator asks, "When the Alabama National Guard called
young Americans to serve, where was John Kerry? Thousands of miles
away, in Vietnam."

The commercial ends with a black-and-white freeze-frame of Kerry, over
which the narrator asks, "John Kerry... reporting for duty?"

The attack ad is hitting the airways just as an organization of
Kerry's swift boat comrades from Vietnam is holding its first annual
anti-Kerry convention in San Diego.

The organization, The Anti-Kerry Boatmates of America, is believed to
number over ten thousand members, all of whom openly despise the
Democratic nominee.

A spokesman for the Kerry campaign attempted today to discredit the
group, saying, "There were a lot of people on John's boat who hated his
guts, but not enough to fill the San Diego convention center."

Such criticisms aside, the organization is moving ahead with plans for
negative ads of their own, including one in which they claim Kerry's
swift boat was neither swift nor a boat.

6. Bush wasn't AWOL from the Texas Air National Guard;
he was AWOL from the Alabama Air National Guard. ;)
