Our new meme: "Bush is a disgrace"
From the Kerry campaign statement:

"George Bush has disgraced himself by allowing his campaign to promote the ugly smears being spread by the group Swift Boat Veterans for Truth," said Scott Maddox, Chairman of the Florida Democratic Party."

Bush is a disgrace to the country.

But in a more diplomatic way, maybe "This is disgraceful what the Bush campaign did, not to mention possibly against the law"

2. I like this one too--who says we aren't attacking?...
Boston Globe

''Mr. McClellan needs to understand that John Kerry is not the type of leader who will sit and read `My Pet Goat' to a group of second graders while America is under attack,'' (Stephanie Cutter) said.

4. McCain to Bush "You should be ashamed"!
Bush seems to like attacking Vietnam veterans and using fringe groups to do it. In 2000 Bush stood alongside someone McCain called a spokesman for a fringe veterans group who had denouced McCain for "abandoning" Vietnam veterans. During their later debate McCain told Bush "let me tell you what really went over the line. I don't know if you can understand this George, but that hurts, that really hurts. There was no mention of McCain's service as a military pilot, nor of his imprisonment and torture in the Hanoi Hilton (No George thats not a real hotel). Everyone knew what McCain meant. McCain told Bush" You should be ashamed"! Five United States senators -Vietnam veterans - wrote George a letter and said "Apologize, You should be ashamed". In a statement that seems amazingly familiar Bush lamely said "I'm proud of your record, just like you are and conceded that McCain had served his country well and had not abandoned veterans.

I agree with John McCain. President Bush should be ashamed for his cowardly attacks on other peoples sacrifice and service using splinter groups. President Bush should be ashamed. The media should be ashamed for being duped into reporting lies without confirmation and investigation. America should be ashamed if we elect a president who has no respect for truth and who believes the end justifies the means. Isn't that the rational used by terrorist groups as well?

5. A shameful disgrace!
Hey we can build on this.

BTW, Kerry and a Republican senator stood up for McCain when the original smearvet, Sampley, attacked him in 92 during the POW-MIA hearings they co-chaired.

Republican Senator Called Sampley's Slur of McCain Disgusting

Sampley attacked McCain demanding, "Who do you really work for: Moscow or Hanoi?"

Senators John Kerry of Massachusetts and Bob Smith of New Hampshire, the committee chairman and vice chairman, came to McCain's defense on the Senate floor. "The smear was uncalled for; it is disgusting," said Smith. The senators said the episode may help convince the panel that some of the POW-MIA groups themselves need investigating and exposure as frauds.

Ted Sampley is the creator of the Vietnam Veterans Against Kerry. He faked a photo of Kerry shooting an MIA.

These are the people Bush allows to campaign for him. You lie down with pigs, you get dirty.

Bush is a disgrace to the country.

What do people think Bush should be ashamed for and what smear campaigns is he likely to be or have been behind?
