Poll question: Did Kerry WANT Rove To Use The Swift Vet Smear?
some people keep complaining this has taken Kerry off message.

Kerry has kept an optimistic and postive campaign til now.

Is it possible that he actually WANTED them to pursue this nonsense so he could have a REASON to go negative?

Is this all a briar patch Kerry planned ahead of time to get thrown in?

1. I Voted "Don't Know"
This is a dual edged sword...

But the attacks on his war record were inevitable....

The efficacy of the Swift Boats Veterans For Bush attack will be revealed in the fullness of time...

3. I don't know if he wanted this hassle.
But I can guarantee you he knew it was coming. He was so obviously prepared. :D

4. No, Kerry had no intentions of wasting money now, but he can use it
now that it's arrived if careful.

But overall Kerry would have been much safer and stronger talking on the issues. This week there were reports of the jobless recovery being exposed, Najaf nightmares, flip flops on health care etc.

5. How do you stay 'On Message' against a guy with no message, only attacks
You don't. Sometimes you have to wrestle the alligator where you find him.
