6 for Kerry (and 3 had other household members ALSO voting Kerry)

2. are you in a battleground state?

if so, contact your local party HQ and get hooked up to the Kerry staff. I think anyone can work the online phone bank, but you have to contact the local campaign staff to get set up

I'm planning on attending a training meeting tomorrow in my area. It was at the same place we used to hold Clark meet ups. Sort of sad but I'll get over it.

5. If there a Kerry headquarters in your area?

Call them or call your local dem headquarters. The Kerry website is great for on-line work, but there is no way to get your number to the grassroots compaign from the site.

Go to the bottom right of the volunteer page and type in your zip code. You may find some other Kerry supporters in your area who can help you. You will have to look for their numbers. I haven't found any other way to contact them.

The husband and I are snowbirds from Iowa and will be arriving in Apache Junction around Nov 1 to spend the winter (after sending in our absentee ballots here in Iowa). You can through reams of numbers and only reach a few people, some of whom are downright abusive. Glad to see you're putting a positive face on it.

only one lady was curt, everybody else was great

and since it's online I just check "call back" when I get an answering machine

much better than the old pen and paper route
