Should the Navy issue a statement regarding the
purple hearts, and bronze and silver star awarded to Kerry? It seems to me that the Navy is also being impugned. I mean, if all someone has to do is have a Master Plan, and write up his/her own commentdations, then what good are the medals and stuff. If there was any truth in what the swift boat liars are saying, wouldn't that make the Navy negligent?

1. The Vietnam War
was such a fubar, I don't think anyone will come forward to defend any part of it. Just like Lt Kerry said, they deserted their men.

"We are also here to ask, and we are here to ask vehemently, where are the leaders of our country? Where is the leadership? We are here to ask where are McNamara, Rostow, Bundy, Gilpatric and so many others. Where are they now that we, the men whom they sent off to war, have returned? These are commanders who have deserted their troops, and there is no more serious crime in the law of war. The Army says they never leave their wounded.

The Marines say they never leave even their dead, These men have 1eft all the casualties and retreated behind a pious shield of public rectitude. They have left the real stuff of their reputations bleaching behind them in the sun in this country."

2. I think that is a good question
Bush* who is Commander in Chief should refute these wild claims against the very Navy he commands. Are we supposed to believe that Medals are worthless because just any old Lt. Junior Grade can give themselves any darn medal they wish and some of them multiple times. Golly I wonder why they all don't have a chest full since it is so easy.
