I gave the finger to a couple of Republicans today
and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I was just pulling onto Woodward Ave., north of Detroit to check out the Friday night party before the huge classic car cruise tomorrow.
Somewhere near 12 mile Rd. I spotted what looked like a new addition to an existing building. The building's windows were plastered with huge signs promoting the local Repukelicans: The rapidly desintegrating Oakland County GOP had a banner. Republican US House Rep. Joe Knollenberg had several signs hanging from the windows of the building.
Then I spotted a couple of guys hanging one last banner. Then had it fully unfurled, and were just hoisting it into place. It was a huge Bush/Cheney banner. As luck would have it, the light turned red, and I wound up stopping directly across from that building. (what a wonderful harmonic convergence that turned out to be!)
My first instinct was to lean obnoxiously on the horn a couple of times.
So I did.
I didn't get the attention of the two goons, but I did get the attention of a lot of others in the area. My goal unmet, I decided to lean on the horn a couple of more times, even more obnoxiously than the first time.
This time I got their attention. As soon as one of them looked up, I greeted him with the vertically extended finger. When I was sure he had gotten my message, I followed-up with a couple of hearty "thumbs down" that would have made Trajan proud.
Then the first guy said something to his partner in crime, who then likewise looked up.
He too was greeted with my middle finger.
Here's the best part: When each of them saw me flipping them off, I could see the "quit" wash over their faces. They had no fight, and they appeared already resigned to their candidate's fate.
I could read their minds. They were thinking, "Geez, we're only just getting started hanging the banner, and we're getting flipped off already".
Priceless...

6. Yes Lefty, Thats the way to turn the vote....not
I see these posts here all the time and I even followed the ideas that they promote. All it does is make you look like a thug and the DEMS look like idiots.

I did lots of stupid shit like you did and even worse, but people here on DU expressed how wrong I was. I mended all my fences and am trying to be Human now.

Do you think flipping someone off is gonna change a vote? Complain about a bumper sticker is gonna get Kerry in? Think making violent threats to bumper stickers is helpful?

Its all fuckin idiotic as I learned after I posted much worse that I did.

I flipped off a Bush sticker so now they will vote for Kerry!!!

Jokes on you...they might tell friends how the Kerry supporters are in favor of road rage.....shame shame
