Swift Boat Liar Was on Bush Campaign Committee
Yeah, Chimpy...tell us again how you have nothing to do withthis smear campaign...

"I wonder if its appropriate for Ken Cordier, a member of the Veterans For Bush-Cheney '04 steering committee to appear in the new "unaffiliated" "independent" 527 Swift Boat Liars For Bush ad?
Of course you will only see his name if you google the cached version (linked above) of the page on the Bush-Cheney web site. Oddly, the current page doesn't list his name.
Now I'm certain this fine gentleman who has chosen to sell out his good name and reputation by joining a filthy smear operaton like Scumbag Liars For Bush would never coordinate with the campaign just because he also served as one of the Vice-Chairs Of Veterans For Bush-Cheney National Coalition in the 2000 camapign (pdf) and then was named to Bush's VA-POW advisory committee.
But some might think it doesn't look quite kosher. In fact, some might think it looks downright illegal. "

Just further confirms my opinion of his idiocy.

2. That's a lot more damning than the Florida Flier
and demonstrates a direct connection between the Smear Boat Liars and the Bush campaign.

4. Exactly....
Worth noting they scrubbed his name from the website BEFORE the ad began running....but didn't realize somebody could find a cached copy...

5. I disagree, the flier shows actual, real-time coordination

whereas this is no different from people leaving the Kerry campaign and working at a 527, which has happened.

6. Iowa
Do we think John Kerry would be the Nominee of the Democratic Party today if these ads had run during the Iowa Caucuses?

I just want to gauge how effective they may have been. A Gooper friend of mine said that to me today and I must admit, it has me worried.

7. The Strategy of Lies ?? ....
Are lies effective ? ...

Can someone hear a lie, and react according to that lie ? ...

Surely: they can ...

But; that doesnt erase the lie ..... And it doesnt rid the liar of their essential immoral core ....

Liars are perpetrating a fraud .... and that's how the GOP like to operate .... because they have no code of honesty ....

8. Except it's not clear that he was off the campaign when the ad was made
They'll try to claim he was, no doubt.

10. Unless the ad was cobbled together between Thursday and Friday
he had to have been on the committee when it was made....

He only bailed (and the campaign removed his name) somewhere in that window...

12. Just playing devil's advocate for a second...
Could the Chimp campaign claim that he was actually not working for the campaign for some convenient period of weeks or months, but that they just forgot to take him off the website?

I wonder if the group had meetings or rallies or anything...

9. Um, Cordier was on the committee up till Thursday 8/19
after the first ad began running....and the campaign actively hid his link to them on Friday when the second ad began running.
