3. I still think this is going to backfire on the Pubs.
I live in North Ga. so I see a lot of LTE's and columnist's articles regarding Zell...almost all these people are Pubs, and they don't have anything nice to say about Zell either. My biggest wish is for Zell to get booed at the convention on Monday during his speech. That probably won't happen because the Pubs keep a retty tight control on their people, but I can dream, can't I?

6. Let's all do an experiment
Imagine Zell babbling like an incoherent baby.

Remember, we are fighting evil, here.

Imagine all the evil he spews bubbling back into him.

Imagine him mumbling and stumbling like a wasted old fool.

4. And here is Kerry's response:

Kerry Campaign Statement on Zell Miller Keynoting the GOP Convention
For Immediate Release

Kerry campaign spokesman Phil Singer: “We are thrilled that the Republican Convention is going to feature someone who -- in his own words -- thinks John Kerry is an ‘authentic hero’ who has worked to ‘strengthen our military.’”

ZELL MILLER ON JOHN KERRY

Kerry An “Authentic Hero”: "My job tonight is an easy one: to present to you one of this nation's authentic heroes, one of this party's best-known and greatest leaders -- and a good friend. He was once a lieutenant governor -- but he didn't stay in that office 16 years, like someone else I know. It just took two years before the people of Massachusetts moved him into the United States Senate in 1984. -- U.S. Senator Zell Miller

Kerry “Strengthened Our Military”: "In his 16 years in the Senate, John Kerry has fought against government waste and worked hard to bring some accountability to Washington. Early in his Senate career in 1986, John signed on to the Gramm-Rudman-Hollings Deficit Reduction Bill, and he fought for balanced budgets before it was considered politically correct for Democrats to do so. John has worked to strengthen our military, reform public education, boost the economy and protect the environment.” -- U.S. Senator Zell Miller

7. 2 ads placed before and after Zell speaks with these words
roasting George Bush (OK, the father, but who cares) would pretty much nuetralize the message.

8. exactly
The campaign ought to get an ad together fast...and then try
to get it placed on the networks during the commercial break immediately before/after Miller's speech. And when the nets refuse
to sell them that spot, they should push the issue, so that it becomes a news story and the ad gets some circulation....
