MSNBC - Swift Boat Ads
MSNBC just did a great piece on the Malkin interview with Harball. Also, said Matthews is going to dig deeper into these ads and find out who is telling the truth.

They also pointed out that there was nowhere in the book she referred to where they say Kerry intentionally shot himself.

1. since last night...
...I've seen the little piece you're referring to at least 5 times. They've got it on maximum rotation, not doubt trying to up Hardball ratings on Monday.

You won't hear me complaining.

2. That's why Tweety went at her so hard about the "intentional
self-inflicted wound." That doesn't deserve a Purple Heart. However, an "unintentional" self-inflicted wound DOES earn a Purple Heart. Ergo, if Kerry shot/threw a grenade at the enemy and he took shrapnel from that explosion, he still deserves the medal.

The thing that's really STUPID about Malkin's disgusting claim is that even if it was true, Kerry would have had to have had the ability to direct shrapnel to impact his body in non-fatal areas. The only time I've heard of live munitions acting in such a manner was in Arlen Specter's *magic bullet* that killed Kennedy, wounded Connelly and ended up in pristine condition on a stretcher at the hospital.

12. For contradicting the self-inflicted wound story, I like this one....
Dole's first wound. It was in the first of these night patrols that Dole received the wound for which he was awarded his first Purple Heart. He ruefully confesses in his 1988 autobiography that his wound was self-inflicted: "As we approached the enemy, there was a brief exchange of gunfire. I took a grenade in hand, pulled the pin, and tossed it in the direction of the farmhouse. It wasn't a very good pitch (remember, I was used to catching passes, not throwing them). In the darkness, the grenade must have struck a tree and bounced off. It exploded nearby, sending a sliver of metal into my leg -- the sort of injury the Army patched up with Mercurochrome and a Purple Heart."

4. Tweety's getting all kinds of attention lately for attacking the right.
Hopefully, he'll whore for our side for a litle while longer. He will do whatever it takes to keep his ratings up and keep his name out here. He loooves the attention.

7. Let's hope he doesn't just "whore for our side." Let's hope he tells the
truth.

9. Maybe President Carter's speech at the convention touched his soul!
Maybe he realized his petty jealousy was petty and it was time to be a real patriot and not a sell out?

Just glad the scales are falling from his eyes. Thanks Chris!

10. I don't think it's a matter of attacking the right. It's a matter of
trying to get at the truth. And this "sbvt" display has been truly sickening.
