What one needs to believe in order to believe the Smear Boat Liars.
So, let us review...

To believe what the Smear Boaters charge, one has to believe that...

1. John Kerry either injured himself or had the Vietcong injure him.

2. John Kerry damaged his own boat.

3. The signed initals "KJW" on certain after-action reports are proof that John Kerry signed those reports.

4. John Kerry falsified reports not only for himself, but for George Elliott and Larry Thurlow as well. Nice of Kerry to do that!

5. Kerry is a Svengali who has manipulated his crewmates into telling lies about what he did in Vietnam.

6. Kerry did all of the above because he knew that he would some day run for president.

The Smear Boater charges are pretty funny when seen all together.

2. and that all medals of honor are meaningless
if you can disregard one man's right to be awarded multiple medals of honor and disregard his service too, then all medals of honor are simply cracker jack's prizes.

4. There's a lot more than that -
for example, you have to believe that the liars' earlier statements were wrong but their current statements are right, except in the case of Elliot, where you have to believe him sometimes but not others and have to check what the latest version is to be sure whether to believe him now or not.

You also have to believe they are only interested in "the truth" and have no connection to the Bush campaign or KKKarl. (notwithstanding the NYT article) You have to believe that O'Neill is truthful when he says he voted for Al Gore in 2000, even though he donated thousands to Repug candidates and was a tool of the Nixon White House.

You have to believe what they say is true even though they weren't on Kerry's boat and the head liar, O'Neill, never even saw Kerry in Viet Nam.

You have to believe that Thurlow got a Bronze star for the same day action (or inaction) as Kerry but he never read the paperwork. He thought it was for plugging some holes in his boat. You therefore have to believe he believes the Navy gives medals for doing stuff without being in any danger.

This could go on forever folks....

When does all the media call BULLSHIT?
