Scarborough: "journalists" professing profound shock at the Swift Boat ads
"Check out the New York Times front page story from Friday. The Times' aggressive expose on the 260 decorated Vietnam veterans who make up "Swift Boat Captains for Truth" came complete with a do-it-yourself Vast Right Wing Conspiracy chart. All that was missing was the suggestion that Karl Rove and Meryl Streep implanted chips in their brains while these war heroes were serving in Vietnam. Funny how attack ads by left-wing groups likemoveon.org didn't provoke the same moral outrage as this vet ad.

I wonder why these high minded media types never drew charts connecting anti-Bush 527 groups to John Kerry. Oh wait. I know the answer. It's because 90 percent of the reporters and talking heads who work for national news outlets will be voting for John Kerry this fall. If you don't believe me then ask Newsweek's top political gun Evan Thomas, who admitted last month that the majority of reporters in America wanted Kerry elected president.

I don't mind these "journalists" professing profound shock at the Swift Boat ads. Because unlike them, I actually fought in the political arena as a candidate. That makes me skeptical of all political ads. But what is so maddening about the Swift Boat coverage is that these same attack dogs laid down like lap dogs when liberal attack ads filled the airwaves over the past year--all blasting George Bush. And why don't you check the transcripts of your favorite left-leaning talk show and see if these noble warriors of truth raised the slightest concern when a liberal ad ran in 2000 suggesting that George W. Bush committed an act as heinous as dragging an old black man to his death.

Again, this is the first anti-Kerry ad that has hit the national stage after scores of inflammatory ads ran about George W. Bush over the year. Do these reporters and talking heads have no shame? Are they unable to see the contradictions in their own news articles? And why are they so offended by John O'Neill's book-- the contents of which may be true-- when they French-kissed Joe Wilson for writing a book that we now know is filled with lies?"

9. Explain how the liberal media went after Condit and left YOUR dead intern
on the floor of your office story alone.

3. The difference between truth and lies
is obviously pretty difficult for Mr Scarborough to grasp.

4. Then why did the "liberal" media attack Gary Condit and ignore....
that dead intern in your office.

By the way, where is the evidence proving your innocense in all of this?

Which talk shows is he referring to? What talk shows gave anywhere near the coverage to MoveOn the SBV have gotten?

The vast majority of the talking heads have not been critical of the SBV at all.

11. Exactly. Why doesn't he write a chart if he thinks there are connections
to be made with the Kerry campaign, similar to the ties of SwiftLiars and the Chimp's campaign?

10. That's so shrill the windows of my house nearly shattered when I read it
It does, however, make me smile at his preposterous ignorance and feigned outrage. Should someone remind him about the press's handling of the Clinton presidency?

13. Thanks for the visual

Here's what she had to say today on her blog (still apparently nursing her wounds after crying on the bloated shoulders of Limbaugh and Hannity):

THANKS, NO THANKS & WELCOME
By Michelle Malkin · August 21, 2004 11:50 AM
Just wanted to send a big thank you to all those who have e-mailed kind words over the past few days. Won't be able to respond to everyone, but each note has meant so much!

The profanity-laced and racist-filled hate mail has been most amusing. Many are suggesting that I go kill myself. Or burn in hell. Or, as writer Michael S. Balogh put it: "TAKE YOUR SLANT EYES BACK TO THE PHILIPPINES." Gotta love those tolerant liberals.

Finally, welcome to all the first-time visitors to the blog. Make yourselves at home. :)

16. I don't believe her.
Here was mine-

Ms. Malkin-

Just a quick note to tell you that I watched your performance on Hardball this evening. Thank's for entertaining us! I enjoy the opportunity to watch a person who is so out of their intellectual element. For your future TV talking head auditions, might I suggest getting a nice red (for Republican) cheerleading outfit with a big letter "B" (for Bush) on the sweater?….those big white Pom-Poms would be neato addition, too!

It takes a really special person who can discount the complete reality of what 3-1/2 years of Bush Republicanism has done to this country's economy, our international reputation, and the Constitution. From there, though, I guess it's a pretty easy slide into promoting a pResident who avoided service in VietNam and went AWOL on his ANG service while assassinating the character of an honorable American who shed his blood in service to his country. I won't even mention your support for his war-profiteering, 5 time draft dodging VP or the rest of the chickenhawk neo-cons who have sold us into this Iraqi nightmare.

Of course, I don't expect you to be able to get your pretty little head around this nuance, but I'll waste my time anyway….you see, it isn't about how deep the sharpnel penetrates the skin. It's about the fact that, on at least 3 occasions, John F. Kerry put his life on the line for his country. Those little pieces of shrapnel, hitting 3 inches in another direction, might well have killed him.

But you stand tall with the Swift Boat Liars…their ship is sinking and so is this pathetic excuse of a pResident. You and the rest of the RW cheerleaders ( who have contributed so little to this country's dialogue in the past 20 years or so) will finally understand where the vast majority of American's stand on the issues….. as we vote to send your naked emperor back to the Crawford pig farm for a permanent vacation.

I hope the money and celebrity you make shilling for these criminals is worth the price you paid in personal integrity.

Sincerest disregards.

OAITW

No profanity, just helping a confused RW talking head with the facts....

Nothing funny about it Joe. What's funny is anyone who'd write in defense of the Swift Boat Character Assassins and smear Joe Wilson.

So what was the deal on your quid-pro-quo, Joe?

15. My letter to Scarborough...
I am somewhat shocked to see you pushing the Swift Boat Vets in your blog. Someone who had an intern turn up dead in their office under mysterious circumstances ought to be a little more wary about pushing unfounded scandals.

As you conservative pundits say, I don't know if these stories are true or not, but questions ought to be asked. It's something worth looking into. When shall we be seeing a show on this topic?
