14. I thought it was pretty positive.
They quoted the guy, who is a reporter at the Chicago Tribune, as supporting Kerry's account and they also mentioned the NYT story detailing the connections between the Bush campaign and the members of the Swift Boat Liars.

Who is that woman? Call an exorcist, quick!

On edit: If she is someone nice, I apologize for the comment above. It's just not the most flattering picture of whoever it be.

15. ROFLMAO
So true.

I remember when she was a local hack columnist for the Seattle Times, and she appeared on a local TV political talk show called "Town Meeting". She was literally, SCREECHING, over and over, "WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN?" when the subject of music censorship was the topic du jour. Chris Cornell and Kim Thayil of Soundgarden pretty much won that debate. I already loathed her from her insane columns, but after that appearance, I vowed never to suffer her on TV again. So I missed 'Hardball', but appreciate everyone else's sacrifice!

By the way, HOW THE FUCK DO TALENTLESS INSANE HACKS LIKE HER GET THAT KIND OF WORK????

17. David Neiwert has a long article about her days in Seattle on his blog
http://dneiwert.blogspot.com

and her book supporting the internment of Japanese in WWII. He's really furious about that because he recently completed a book about the internees experiences (based on many interviews).

19. clearly self-loathing
She probably thinks Arab and Muslim Americans should also be interred.

I have a friend in Seattle, third generation American of Japanese descent, who although a liberal and votes Dem, cannot say one good thing about FDR because of the internment of his father and his grandparents back then. His father is a conservative Repuke, but at least my friend can separate the misguided attitude of the times from what matters NOW. After all, it's Repukes who would now favor the kind of internment I mentioned above.

20. How do they get work? Inflammatory writing sells paper.
And inflammatory speaking sells air time.

13. I imagine the Rove machine is going to try to get this guy fired
And even if they don't, he'll be tagged as "proof" of a liberally biased media regardless of what his political views are.

And if he's anything like how my father was, he may not like talking about Vietnam.

Who knows why it took him this long, I'm just thankful that he did.
