If they want the battle to be about a 30 plus year old war then so be it. There are many similarities to Nam and Iraq. They were both based on lies. In Viet Nam it was the Gulf of Token, in Iraq it was an iminent threat from WMDs.

Kerry has to fight this with everything he has. It cannot be ignored. If someone tells a lie long enough people will believe it. This is the fight for what is right and what is wrong with this country. It is covered in the cloak of a 30 year old war whose wounds have not healed. It divides our country like this administration divides our country. A country that desperately needs to be united.

It will only only take one watershed moment, like when Joseph Welch said to Joe McCarthy, "Let us not assassinate this lad further.... You've done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?"
