How can * possibly win unless the Repukes steal it again?
Seriously. I do not believe there are that many insane and/or totally braindead people in this country. I think it's impossible that the election will even be close (assuming the votes are all counted, of course). Let's get real here. People are out of work, don't have health insurance, are watching in horror as our youth are being killed and tortured daily in Iraq, don't know if Social Security will survive the next 4 years of rightwing assault, see how the exploding deficit is destroying our children's and grandchildren's futures, etc. etc. Yet His Lowness appears totally clueless about how to save US from the misery HE got US into!!!! Under Clinton, everything was obviously GREAT. Then AWOL was forced down our throats. We aren't perfect, but I believe Americans are smart enough not to give this fascist fucker a pass.

2. I doubt I am.
People like you and me are living in this nightmare. We may spend a lot more time analyzing stuff, but I can guarantee you those not so politically involved folks on the front lines don't like suffering.

3. You have a point
but, I believe there are going to be quite a few bush haters in those sheep's clothing this year. I've heard too many stories of people crossing over from the dark side, etc. I have a good feeling about this election and I think Kerry administers a huge boot-to-ass lesson to the boy king.

4. I crossed over from sheeple to Mad As Hell
in February - March of this year when I realized he lied about WMD and Saddam-Al-Quaeda links. All of the other other passes I had given him were then revoked. Everything * has touched has turned to shit. I like what I read on this board a while back. The only good thing * has accomplished is the Do Not Call list.

5. But, but, but.....................Kerry lied about his medals!!!!!!!!!!!
And look over there about who is winning "Survivor"!!!!!!!!!

I would like to think that this country is not full of sheep, but I am afraid their behavior indicates otherwise. If the polls are anywhere near close, Bush WILL steal the election and no one will be able to argue with the results.

8. Even sheep will kick and scream if they're being tortured.
Maybe Americans aren't suffering enough to change, but I doubt that. These polls get people who have stable phone lines and are internet wired. The angry masses don't get polled.

7. Nixon in '72.....My father says there was no way he could win.
He had headlines linking him and his money to Bebe Rebozo, and know mafia drug lord. He had been exposed in countless lies including Vietnam scandels. And he won overwhelmingly.

10. Just my opinion,
Edited on Sat Aug-21-04 08:29 PM by NightOwwl
but in 2000 there were lots of people who fell for the "compassionate conservative" line. I think the majority of those voters realize the mistake they made, so he's lost a big chunk right there. He's got a solid lock on the religious fundies, but I think that's the only voting bloc he can count on. It's possible a lot of Republicans will be sitting this one out.

So, in answer to your question: He cannot win legitimately.
