Man fired for heckling Bushler
Thanks Chimpy for taking away our democratic rights you COWARD and LIAR!

CHARLESTON, West Virginia (AP) -- A man who heckled President Bush at a political rally was fired from his job at an advertising and design company for offending a client who provided tickets to the event.

The fired graphic designer said Saturday he won't try to get his job back.

"I'm mad less about losing the job -- I'm more mad about the reasons," said Glen Hiller, 35, of Berkeley Springs. "All I did was show up and voice my opinion."

1. These are COINTELPRO tactics
A few powerful people make a few phone calls and the "uppity" agitator is properly chastened, while a message is sent to others that confronting the President of the United States is simply not going to be tolerated.

2. what happens to the CLIENT in these situations?
i mean, if i'm running a company and i hear that the guy i put in charge of finding our new ad campaign was busy getting design people fired from the ad supplier's company instead of just trying to get the best ad campaign, well, then, i'd probably fire that guy.

or at least take him to task.

if the client is the owner, then there's not much to be done. though even there, if i knew of a company that did that sort of thing, i sure wouldn't want to do business with them!

3. notice that the "client" isn't mentioned
actually, this makes me wonder if the client really exists at all.

it would not surprise me if the boss wanted the guy out, but couldn't fire him directly, simply for political reasons. but, he could fire him if it might cost him a client. so, he blames it on a client. push comes to shove, he probably couldn't produce this "client".

5. The saddest thing is the "Quick Vote". "Would you risk your job...
...to heckle somebody?"

66% of us have bills to pay and know there's no good jobs out there.

Sad, really sad...
And today's LTTE page had an admonishment to all us "disrespectful" Liberals that "In time of WAR, the President demands your UTMOST RESPECT..."

This country is becoming more and more like a fucked-up "Twilight Zone" episode every week.....
