I miss Howard Dean
Yeah, yeah, I know he's still out there and all that.

And, yeah, yeah, I'm a big-time Kerry/Edwards supporter.

The thing is - it's tough to have the money and time and energy to do BOTH, y'know - at least right now. Life, being the pesky thing that it is, keeps me from that. So, given the choice of where to concentrate, I've had to focus more on Kerry/Edwards - being from the all-important Ohio and because that's gotta be number one right now and I really believe in both of them.

It's just that. . .I miss the excitement and camaraderie and the feeling that we had discovered something and someone new, which is what the whole Dean thing gave to me.

Okay, it's late, and I've had a really rough month. But I miss Howard. Or rather, I miss the excitement I had working for him. Just thought I'd say it.

I miss my guy too. Fortunately he's on tv a lot. Dean's org is doing great work though! :hi:

2. I know how you feel
I visited with my mother the other day, and we were watching Howard on some tv show, and we were talking about how much we miss him being in the thick of things.

He brought fire and I want to see some from Kerry. And I think (and hope) we are about to see it. Kerry needs to understand that there are other ways to get yourself out than paid commercials.

6. he does, and he has been doing it

he does know and he has been doing it for months including during the primaries when the big media declared his campaign over for months even before anyone voted. those of us who supported and followed kerry during that time saw it. we saw he was working hard campaigning even when people said his campaign was over.

4. I just took the Dean bumpersticker off my car last month...
Actually, as I'm a federal employee, it was kinda a violation of the Hatch Act to have it on there in the first place (I do drive that car to work). I still do the involuntary "I told you so" every time Kerry gets called on "flip-flopping" on the IWR issue, but I'm glad Dean's staying involved. I really hope he's given a position in the party that will allow him to really influence things (I'm thinking DNC chair).

I used to be active in politics and then became disenchanted because all of the politicians seemed to me to be...well...politicians. Dean changed that for me. He gave me somebody I believed in.

7. I don't
Howard Dean turned out to be a lousy candidate who clearly wasn't ready for prime time. He probably would have lost 49 states.
