Senator Barbara Boxer on Hardball DESTROYS the Oil-Drilling Talking Point
Tweety: Do we need to start drilling in places we haven't wanted to drill before?

Sen. Boxer: "We need to see the oil companies drill on the land and leases they have on shore and offshore. There are 68 MILLION Acres that they have access to they are not drilling. There are another 28 MILLION Acres of the Naval Reserve they have access to. They are doing NOTHING Chris. And I maintain, that when you have two Oilmen in the White House for EIGHT LONG YEARS and you see Gas Prices go up 300%. To turn around and blame the Democrats in Congress JUST DOESN'T WASH. The Oil Companies have gotten EVERYTHING they want. It's time for them to Use It or Lose It. Of course there are places we can drill. But I want you to know something. There are a lot of jobs that come out of a pristine coast in certain areas of our Country. In my own state for example, in Washington State and off the shores of New Jersey and many other places North Carolina, I could go on. The fact is that there is a 70 BILLION DOLLAR, 70 BILLION COASTAL economy, TWO MILLION JOBS. So, of course we want to drill. Of course we need to conserve. Of course we need renewable energy. And my republican friends, just to keep up a little argument here, have said, "Oh No, we are not going to give the Solar companies, the Wind companies, Geothermal the Tax Credits, the Tax Cuts that they deserve. "

BAM. BOOM. It was awesome.

7. I loved it too...enough to work pretty hard to come up with that sigline.
DU is very fickle about these things...but yeah. I'm a sucker for sappy stories like that, and cute innocent robot love was enough to do me in proper. :D

20. After leaving the theater I turned to my mom and said
Wow, I think that makes the top 50 best films I've ever seen. And being a film student from The North Carolina School of the Arts. I've had to see a TON of films haha. It was really amazing. I cried when they were dancing and he leaned into the computer and said "computer... define dancing" and it was just so perfect. And the symbolism of hands. Then bringing that symbolism back in when they were all sliding down the ship and they tried to reach out and hold hands because in the end that is what we all need to do to achieve our goals. To hold and hands and stick together. Plus the literal imagery of "taking a stand" verse actually learning to stand up again. It was just perfect. There was so much symbolism in it I couldn't actually write it all down in one post. They went WAY above and beyond the scope of a cartoon with this film. They went above and beyond the scope of most FILMS with this film. It is an amazing work of art and pixar studio's masterpiece. (imho)

13. Very nice
Now let's see Limpnuts have the cojones to go on Hardball and REFUTE those facts.

I listened to him today and all he had to say was the same old, tired rhetoric of "Dems are blocking EVERYTHING that's good in this world".

17. The perfect VP candidate !
A woman, Jewish, Liberal, passionate, and smart. A woman that most Hillary supporters will accept. Being Jewish should help in states like Florida. Being liberal will keep the left in the game. Being passionate and smart will be an asset for Obama at the head of the ticket... ;-)

21. Drill onland they HAVE access to ????
Well with activities like this when they try to drill domestically
----------------------------------------------------------------------
FARMINGTON — Western Environmental Law Center is challenging today's sale of 80 parcels of federal land in New Mexico and three other states.

It's the second protest filed by the Environmental Law Center on behalf of numerous environmental groups and individuals, and affects 80 parcels totaling 62,777 acres of federal land in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. Fifty-one parcels, or 43,169 acres, are in New Mexico.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Once they have to pay for the waste of time of a lawsuit for all the enviro-nuts and activists that want NO drilling anywhere, guess what it will cost for whatever they can get out of the ground in the US after spending the money to drill on the land they HAVE ACCESS to .. NOT!! SARCASM
