You won't believe it until you see it.
Edited on Thu Jul-17-08 02:16 PM by helderheid

Last week a reporter asked Sen. John McCain whether he thinks it's fair for insurance companies to cover Viagra for men, but not birth control for women.

To tell you his reply simply doesn't do it justice. http://act.credoaction.com/campaign/mccain_respect_contraception/">Watch the video to learn his response. Then take action.

If you're shocked by what you see, join us and tell Sen. McCain to ensure that health insurance companies include women's birth control.

Maybe we shouldn't be surprised. In 2003 Sen. McCain voted against forcing insurance companies to cover birth control.1 And this is the same senator who claimed in 2007 not to know whether condoms prevented sexually transmitted diseases.2 Nonetheless, the truth remains: American women deserve better than this.

Click here to ask Senator McCain to get the facts about birth control and take a stand for women's health.

After you sign the petition, please be sure to tell a few friends.

Sincerely,

Laura Scher, CEO of CREDO Mobile

20. Actually, MSNBC and CNN covered it repeatedly
I happened to have access to cable teevee that weekend it aired -- my SO made me turn it because they kept repeating the same things over and over and the McCain/Viagra clip was one of the constant repeats. I laughed every time they played it.

7. Well, Bush has lowered the bar so low, that it has turned into an American Idol contest of sorts.
While the mainstream media tears down the Dem candidate!

6. Wow, that is one surprised man, there.
Looks like he never thought about something that virtually everyone in the country has an instant opinion on.

11. he was obviously distracted by his Viagra flashbacks and hot sex
(ewww, i know what a horrible image)
so he was tongue tied.

man, the guy just couldn't look stupider than this - but is CNN playing this over and over - they have showed it yes, but I want to see this as often as i had to suffer through seeing Rev. Wright over and over and over and over.

He couldn't believe McCain had a hard time (no pun intended) answering the question and said "stopping unwanted pregnancies or getting men hard, not a tough choice, John!"

14. I would think this could be used as the equivalent of a Dean Scream
That very annoyed glance and his hands all over his face, it's a very effective negative.

btw, I hated what they did to Howard Dean with that soundbite, icyw.

18. In general, I told him I didn't find it believable that he "doesn't know
enough about it to give an informed answer." I laid into him for not seeing that it's unfair to cover one without covering the other. I remember using the word weasel in describing the position he took. I also recall mentioning something about his daughters. Unfortunately, I can't remember the exact wording...it was hours ago...:dunce:

21. Why wasn't the fact that he voted against it in the Planned Parenthood ad? Or maybe it was and
MSNBC omitted that portion of the Planned Parenthood ad.
