An idea for the Repub Nat. Convention - Kerry Buildings

Just watching CNN and the Repub said that the RNC would put New York on display. This kind of ticked me off because he is right. The convention would put the city on display, but through Republican colored glasses. Then a few things occurred to me.

1. New York in mainly Democratic.
2. Most media persons will be in New York.
3.The entire landscape of New York city is full of tall buildings with many windows.

Now the Repubs can control where people march, they can drive Democrats out of the city, and they can control where you poster signs in the city, but they CANNOT control what you do with your windows.

Imagine if Dems turned the buildings of New York into massive advertisements for John Kerry and John Edwards. It would be quite something if all Democrats put a Kerry sign in their window. The sheer number of Dems in the city would create a message that could not be denied. Bush can co-op the city for his benefit, but he cannot tell the country that New York supports him.

ago.

There is a group of peace activists who are planning light displays with windows. They will get the windows lit in several buildings to spell out their message.

If this works, we have to have people there to take pictures of it. The media will probably ignore it.
