What the hell happened? Why isn't the Vets for Kerry guy who does a great job on some shows? Max Cleland does a good job. Steve McMahon was awesome on Scarborough on Friday - he turned the issue back to what * was doing when he was in the NG.

I was expecting the Kerry people to be going on the attack on these shows. They have some ammo but I haven't been hearing about it.

It sounds like Juan Williams did a good job on Faux (missed it and will watch at 4:00 pm this afternoon) but This Week sucked and so did Late Edition.

1. Bill Nelson was very ineffective against Coleman this morning.
Our guys need to talk more firmly.

5. This seems to be such a detail specific issue that the people that

don't know exactly what happened at each of the 5 medal events - who was where, who is saying they were there but the eye witnesses all say they weren't, etc, etc - seem to get confused and tongue tied when the Swift Liars start throwing out lies.

I think Sparkly's analysis on the link above about how they "snow" is a good explanation of what the SBV Liars seem to do.

It is very frustrating. The problem is the TV news channels need to start doing their jobs - that may be to much to ask.

Anybody know if they have them someplace? I'd love to read it.

Thanks :)

with it right now. If you can't find a transcript anywhere, I will watch it and try to transcribe it later.

Has Mediamatters.org been on top of this story and all the lies?

You'd be tearing your hair out after a few minutes, don't put yourself through that!

I'd like to get my hands on a recent transcript of O'Neill and deconstruct it, though.

22. It is so
frustrating to watch. The Democrats need to understand that they need people who are ready with the facts, willing to be impolite if necessary, unwilling to allow themselves to be over talked. People of the caliber of Al Sharpton need to be spokesmen for the Democrats; knowledgeable, unafraid, and fast on their feet.

How many DAMN DUER'S want to do this???

How many DAMN DUER'S are Alan Colmes wussies??? I'd say most!

:argh:

If the Democrats/Left don't start fighting DIRTY, we will NEVER WIN!!!

This is war, Democrats are the Allies (U.S/U.K/France) and the Republicans are the Axis Powers. Learn this!!!

6. Ridicule is the key
http://progressivetrail.org/articles/040817Hartmann.shtml

And Kerry and the DNC may figure this out too late, or not "stoop" to such an approach even if they are aware of it. Bushco is TOTALLY VULNERABLE to this, it has very little "blowback" potential, and so far bushco's gotten a pass.

Maybe mainstream dems really are a bunch of pansies. (BTW, This criticism doesn't mean I want bush and his criminal gang to win).

15. They should ridicule Bush for wearing an unauthorized ribbon!

FACT: Bush was wearing an AFOUA and SAEMR in the above photograph.
FACT: Bush was a National Guardsman for Five years zero months and 28 days according to his ARG22.
FACT: Bush's ARG22 lists NO medals or awards.

FACT: A Form AF11 dated May 16, 1971 lists ONLY the SAEMR as an award received by George W. Bush.
FACT: Form AF 1712 dated May 10, 1973 lists NO Awards.
FACT: A "military biography" of dubious origin released by the White House contains his enlisment dates, the units he was attached to, and lists the NDSM and SAEMR as his awards, but NOT the AFOUA.
FACT: No document provided by the Bush team lists the AFOUA as one of his awards, by comparison both the DD214 and DD215 provided by John Kerry lists multiple Unit awards.
FACT: To date, no document has been presented to demonstrate Bush earned the AFOUA he was wearing in the picture above.
FACT: No document has been presented that any unit Bush served in was awarded the AFOUA during the period of time in which Bush served.

8. We better wake up
We should have stepped on these guys neck back in the Spring when they first showed up on the radar.

Now we have to invest all this time and money to discredit them now when we need to be on the offensive.

I hope Kerry's people actually have a plan because so far they are getting whipped.

What worries me is what Rove and his loons have up their sleeve next.

"We should have stepped on these guys neck back in the Spring when they first showed up on the radar."

I agree totally. The Kerry campaign allowed this situation to get out of hand. Did they not see the kind of adversary they were dealing with? I hope they learn from this incident;I fear there will be more to come.

28. My concern
is it too late? I wonder who is actually in charge. It seems like a cluster f--k sometimes. The more I think about it the more pissed I get. What were they waiting on. Damn, they had to know what was coming. Why wait to react?

Now these &*&*&^&9 don't seem to know what to do. Offense, defense, positive, negative. DUHHHHH, UMMMMMMMM. Geez, pick a strategy and go balls to the wall.

Might I suggest---blast the swifties to hell and as quickly as possible and at the same time dig up all the frigging dirt we can and let em have it with both barrells.

10. All of our letter writing and calls
don't mean a damned thing if they don't get their act together and fight. The media itself is only half the problem the DNC and the campaign is the other half of the equation.

26. I AGREE there are better spokespeople, but you have to have some
evidence that they refused to put someone on if you claim it.

If they are refusing certain spokespeople, I'd love to know what spokespeople are being turned away and what shows are refusing to put people on.

a TV show. That is a simple fact. I don't need to 'prove' it any more than I need to 'prove' that News Corp owns Fox, AOL/Time Warner owns CNN and Microsoft and GE owns MSNBC.

This is the official corporate view of things, completely controlled by these corporations to serve their own interests. There is no element of fairness or obligation to serve the public involved.

20. stop sending out Donna Brazile!
She was useless this morning.

Kay Bailey Hutchinson was wide open for left jabs and a knockout punch.

Brazile was her usual low-key nothing.

We need someone better than Donna to speak for the Democrats. Rarely is she effective. She is not a fighter and seems not to want to displease.
