What questions should Bush be asked during the debates?
We know the right wingers will be working overtime to see that he gets asked questions that will set-up his right wing talking points regurgitations.
What about the REAL issues?

Here's my question: "Mr. President, when Bill Clinton was first inaugurated, there were about 35 million Americans without health insurance. The Clinton health care plan was an attempt to rectify that problem, but the plan was crushed through the efforts of your friends in congress, the media, and the insurance industry.
Since that time, the number of uninsured Americans has risen to about 44 million. That's about a 25% increase in the number of uninsured Americans.
Now that there is an election upon us, have you come up with a plan to do anything about the problem?"

1. My question is for both candidates. 'What is your plan, what specific
steps would you take to revive the manufacturing base of this country?'

2. Easy
"Mr. Bush you seem to be making quite an issue over Mr. Kerry's supposed behavior with regard to his tour in Vietnam, yet your military record seems to be a bit, shall we say, spotty? Can you provide us with the name of even ONE person who served with you during your time in Alabama, or better yet could you provide the approriate documents that verify your time there? You have had ample time to research this during the course of this campaign, but so far have not done so. What is the reason for this?"

4. Since you are the only president since Herbert Hoover to have minus growth
in employment, how do you explain that? Shouldn't your taxcuts have kicked in now and created millions of jobs, like you predicted?

5. How can you justify...
How can you justify your campaigns attacks against John Kerry's combat record, when you, your Vice President, and nearly your entire cabinet have absolutely no time in a combat zone?

Follow up:

Why should any Veteran have any respect for you after the attacks your campaign has leveled against the combat records of 3 combat veterans, John Kerry, Max Cleyland, and John McCain, especially considering your own lack of any combat duty whatsoever?

7. Tough ones that will trip him up
like "What color is your tie?" or "How many months are in a year?"

Seriously though, I'm not holding my breath for any tough questions to be shot Bush's way. They'll all be pre-approved and he won't come off as ill-equiped as he really is. Whoever wins the debate is going to win not because of the answers they give, but the way that they give them. It will be the personality and attitude that they project.
In a real balls to the wall debate Kerry would win in a runaway though. We all know that.

8. The candidates should not be given
the questions beforehand. I don't know if they are, but they shouldn't be.

9. I'm pretty sure pre-approved questions
are among the stipulations that Rove and Co. put forth.

13. Gay Marriage
How does people of the same sex getting married impact my marriage of 15 years? If they marry, will I want to get divorced? If they marry, will I want to marry someone the same sex as me? You seem to know so much at how two people of the same sex marrying will affect my 'traditional' marriage. I want to be prepared...just in case.
