Maybe they haven't thought about it. Maybe no one has asked them.

1. One person I talked to said Kerry and Bush are basically the same
Edited on Sun Aug-22-04 02:46 PM by Michigan Voter
He said it's six of one, half a dozen of the other. He said he might as well vote for the Repubs since that's what he usually does.

I'm working on him.

I think most are just voting how they're used to voting.

2. Maybe a combination of both.
Although, I listen to Washington Journal every day on cspan. I've quite a few people say they voted for Bush in 2000, but are very disappointed with what he has done. They said they wouldn't vote for him again, but either wouldn't vote, or vote for Nader, or a Green. There also have been some that feel the same and say they'll vote for Kerry/Edwards, and they may be the ones you descrobe as voting against Bush.

I just hope there are lots of both!

3. Yes. Opposite of ABB voters

But it takes a lot bigger leap of faith to believe that K/E are the anti-Christ. I know a lot of these folks in RL, and most of them seem to believe everything they recieve in an e-mail, especially if it's anti-Kerry.

The RW's e-mail "machine" is far more effective than ours; either that, or they're just gullible.

4. In a conversation with a woman who is the clerk in the local

convenience store and when I say Mom and Pop I mean exactly that--same as it was in 1850 -- she is the one who pasted "kick their ass, get their gas" on the front counter. I wore my worst president ever shirt in there the other day and she seems to have backed off a little

She mentioned seeing a abb bumper sticker in an attempt to make conversation. Then said they are both the same--one is a something or other, I didn't quite catch it, and the other is a communist.

That is what she said. :eyes: she is a woman up there in years stuck in the fifties I guess. She listens to Limbaugh--maybe that is where she got that ridiculous notion.

I said at least he is not a murderer like Bush , smiled sweetly and walked out.

The irony is that the store caters to a lot of fishermen . They fish out of a co-op--sharing the dock, pooling the catch and distributing the profit amongst them. If I had been faster on the draw I could have mentioned that.
