Kerry turned the boat right into the Republican fire and it worked!
I was thinking that ever since Kerry went right at the Bush Administration over this Swift Boat thing things have turned around back into Kerry's favor. It seems when Kerry showed the guts to take them on then finally the media felt comfortable asking the tough questions. The media is still afraid of appearing liberal and seems to hold back going after anyone on the Right even when they are completely illegitimate. Gore and several other candidates never learned this lesson. When Kerry attacked back then it made it OK for the Media to take another look at the Swift Boat thing and start to tear it apart! Kerry turned it into a huge story that the Media then had to latch onto. The story got much bigger than Bush wanted and it blew up in their face. Good for Kerry and his team! We still need to keep up the return fire until the Swift Vets are gone, discredited and demoralized! Again, good for Kerry for being tough! It's nice to see we have a candidate who will fight back for a change!!!

2. Kerry asked Moveon.org to take down their commercial after
John McCain asked Kerry to take it down. It seems Kerry has the integrity that Bush does not.

3. They have.
That was what they were complaining about the ad that Moveon just put out. Said something about the fact that * turned up missing at the TXANG. It's on the site under media.

6. IMO Kerry should never again allow himself to be on the defensive!
Neither should he allow any campaign attack go unanswered for more than 24 hrs. It was the strategy that helped Clinton to put down the vast RW of the rethuglican party. The DLC idea of playing nice and gentlemanly and putting up united front against terror is all nonsense since W* uses it as cover to do his nefarious acts.

7. BRILLIANT politics! Elections are not about the past. Kerry's patience
morphed the SwiftSmear attacks from ancient history into CURRENT shenanigans from the White House, shenanigans that reflect deep deficits in courage and truthfulness on the part of Dubya, Cheney and company.

Had the Kerry campaign responded three weeks ago, they would have embroiled themselves in expensive back-and-forth arguments only with WH surrogates, and only about what happened 30-some years ago.

Now Kerry is free to argue that Dubya and Cheney are the source of the attacks, that they're promoting Orwellian lies AGAIN, and that they are cowards who needed Vietnam vets for surrogates because their own chicken-hawk backgrounds do not withstand scrutiny.

8. He lined up his allies
They and he went after the lies and broke them down. Even bush is tying to get out of the way. The repub members of congress are steering clear of the jackals. bush' rep is hurting him and people will not forgive what he did to McCain any time soon. Brought that puppy out again.
