It would be a wonderful thing to do, but it would also be dramatic criticism of Bush. Start every public appearance with:

Let's take a moment to remember the four Marines and the soldier killed today in Iraq. Joe Lastname, 19 years old from Ames City Iowa, Janice Lastname, 22, from Biloxi Mississippi...."

1. Excellent idea!
You KNOW Boy George couldn't copy that. It would draw attention to (one of the many) things he's trying to get the world to forget.

2. He would be criticized for exploiting their deaths
that's how it would get played in the media.

3. I don't know . . .
It would strike me as too obviously political.

8. not political coming from a decorated combat veteran
He doesn't have to say anything more than the most simple naming of their names and a moment of silence.

I believe it's VERY respectful. Someone needs to acknowledge their lives and deaths.

4. Almost 1000 service members
will not be able to vote this November.

He should point THAT out.

When I cast my vote for Kerry, it will be in memory and honor of a fallen soldier from the 1st Cavalry Division, my husband's former division.

5. That is one of the best ideas I've ever heard!
Bush would be a fool to try to all of a sudden act like he cares about the troops...dead or alive.

Do we know anyone inside the campaign to send this to? GREAT IDEA!

9. You GOT IT! This is Important...that we bring the focus BACK to what
Kerry warned us about when he came back in '71 and told about atrocities and what he suffered and these SBV want to REWRITE HISTORY...and make that CESSPOOL/SWAMP of VIETNAM into Martha Steweart's "It's a good thing..it WAS a good thing."

IT WAS NOT A GOOD THING VIETNAM...and NO ONE WILL EVER CONVINCE ME OR OTHERS OF THAT!!!! :puke: Vietnam...the war that left us debt unending and who killed a generation of our "best and brightest." And those it didn't KILL it' left "hamstrung i.e. Clinton/Gore/Gene McCarthy/Bobby Kennedy/McGovern and our Democrats to this day ...hamstrung over LIES, LIES, LIES that got us into Vietnam and now IRAQ!

Stop the LIES! BRING THEM HOME! STOP THE LIES...BRING THEM HOME....

10. 19 American Soldiers killed in Iraq this week. On Snuffy's show the
"Memorial Segment" at the end of his "whore fest" with John O'Neill. Snuffy exhaults O'Neil while memorializing Vietnam...a guy who had no stake in either. His Condo in Georgetown and his new wife are absorbing all of his time. She's into botox and he's into great shoes and suits from Saville row in London. He get's hooked up by Blair who's Bush Twin and get's a discount for his whoreing...by being able to buy those great shoes and silk suits and have Blair's tailor take care of it all for him

He eats in the finest DC restaurants...Life is good for Snuffy...and his buddy George Will has shown him the ropes. As a "Greek-American" Snuffy is much in debt to his buddies on "This Week" for allowing him into the "inner sanctum."

Love Ya...Snuffy...You are an example to all Americans that if you spread you legs or other parts wide enough...you will find many who will "pay you honors." :puke:

11. uh, who is Snuffy?
Edited on Sun Aug-22-04 08:22 PM by grasswire
Stephanopolis?

Edit: got it now.

Cokie is in the inner inner sanctum of old Washington society. Even George Will isn't as high on the social ladder as she is.

BTW, I finally figured out who George Will reminds me of. Have you ever seen Dharma and Greg? Greg's snooty mother, Mrs. Montgomery? Will speaks JUST LIKE Mrs. Montgomery. Catch it on re-run sometime. You'll laugh.
