A coward in Carolina
The swifties fraud about the first Purple Heart completely bombed. The two other men on the skimmer with JFK have completely refuted the claims of the swifities. Apparently the libel about a self inflicted wound come from some story the swifities were being fed by a lawyer named Schacte who lives in S. Carolina. Oneill has been back tracking on this claim since he first put it up on Crossfire. His latest was that there may have been four men on the boat. On crossfire on Saturday Novak sort of said this guy is going to go public. Fair warning:be prepared to pounce if this guy tries to work up the guts to put his head in the line of fire. It's been months and the clown hasn't been willing to tell a lie in public. But be ready if he shows his face. there is no lie that these people will; not repeat.

2. From the NYT article
which was on my paper's page A2 this morning, please read the following:

The title of the article was "Anti-Kerry veterans linked to Bush."

(I don't have a link, I suppose you could find this online though.)

The group also offers the account of William L. Schachte Jr., a retired rear admiral who says in the book that he had been on the small skimmer on which Kerry was injured that night in December 1968. He contends that Kerry wounded himself while firing a grenade.

But the two other men who acknowledged that they had been with Kerry, Bill Zaladonis and (Patrick) Runyon, say they cannot recall a third crew member. "Me and Bill aren't the smartest, but we can count to three," Runyon said in an interview.

3. Now THAT'S the kind of line that should get some play

Good ol' boys get to the point.

4. That's right -- but people believe O'Neill, who wasn't even there?!
Who has the motive to lie here? Not Runyon or Zaladonis.

Dickheads.
