"Rope 'a Dope" Repugs...use O'Neill and SBV to shove Kerry at the Ropes
Edited on Sun Aug-22-04 07:17 PM by KoKo01
and "Trojan Horse Repugs inside our Dem Campaign" allow him to do this!

They could stop this...instead they leave it ALL up to those of us on the "NET" to do their dirty work (i.e. research and fax, phone, e-mails) for them.

Hey ...give us a salary for what we do...Trojan Horses! Give us even 2% of$ of what you "insider fuckers" make as "high paid consultants."

Aren't you the same "crew" who allowed Al Gore to be trashed on Matthews and the other "whore" shows that DU'ers love to promote here on these pages as "they've changed...tune them in...the tide is turning...they are now on the Dem's side...tune in...tune in..they are with us..) kind of clap trap clutter we are wading through?

Oh Yeah! "Chris and the other Media Whores" just want to do the "rope a dope."

It worked before...let's do it again... I'm reminded of an old song: "Roll Me Over ...Roll Me Over ...Roll Me Over...and do it again...Do it again...ohhhhh ...Do it Again...Roll Me Over...Roll me Over..Roll Me Over ...and do it Again.

And some other songs, which I just deleted...:nuke:

1. All the media whores are whores
But that doesn't change the fact that they have been known to show glimmers of actual journalism from time to time. Matthews isn't letting the bullshit stand on this SBV story, so I'm not gonna begrudge him that. Do I forgive him for 2000? Negative. Do I think people SHOULDN'T watch him when he tears into SBV? Are you nucking futs?

2. Killer Instinct
Kerry has it. He let this build, something about which he had no choice, and now he's firing back. Remember, he's the one that said lets have a clean campaign. Wait until the McCain commercials do their thing. The 'rope-a-dope' is about to end and after the Repig convention, it will be all out war; something Bush doesn't do well!

4. I think Kerry made an "Admirable Attempt" at a "clean campaign." He
has felt that Truth and Honor and Patriotism and Heroism would win out above everthing...at least that's how he and his Campaign have handled the "Chimp."

BUT...coming off what happened to Al Gore in "Selection 2000" one wonders about the naivity of this "strategy."

This ain't your "old world" of Senatorial Politics" where one addresses your opposer with "many kudos and fine sentiments about "My fellow estimeed Senator from ____ will certainly differ with me...but as much as I applaud my fellow Senator from ____, I beg to differ from him on this "one point".....drifting off into "yadda...yadda...yadda...like some old TV Rerun of how NOT to run a campaign.

I think Kerry is trapped in this "Old Guard Rule of how one conducts a campaign." I don't know why...He's not SO OLD that he shouldn't GET IT...but he seems a slow learner on what's going on out there with the Bushies..

6. Interesting
I think Kerry is playing chess and Bush is playing checkers. Kerry had to ask for a 'clean campaign.' This was necessary and smart given the data indicating people wanted that approach. Now that Bush is being Bush, which Kerry & Co. knew would happen, he can hit back as the aggrieved clean campaigner. It was way to early for Bush to go this negative. Watch how this plays out. I think it's a well thought-out strategy and one that will work.

3. You need to stop believing that Kerry isn't in control here
He's in control of what can be controlled. He wasn't surprised. He expected this. He knew it would be coming. He's dealing with it. Really. He did not wake up one morning and say, "Holy shit, the Republicans are attacking my service in Vietnam! I never expected that to happen!" He's fighting a good fight. We owe it to him to rally behind him and not lose heart either.

5. Exactly, this is a clever tactic by the Bushco*
where * is staying above the fray, but sen. Kerry has
to be embroiled in defending the lies purported by the
SBVT's. This is the same tactic * used to defeat McCain.
As I have said before, the best tactic for Kerry is not
to waste time defending himself, but to attack shrub's
avoiding Viet-Nam and going AWOL. Whoever said "the best
defense is a good offese" is exactly right.

7. He shouldn't attack Bush for being aWol--
he should attack him for being a cowardly, dishonest bastard who will smear and libel anyone who opposes him.

Old tricks, indeed.
