The latest phase of this putrid smear campaign is the mantra "He's losing
it."

Regardless of the massive truths countering the smear on all Vietnam veterans encapsulated in these lies, this seems to be part of the RW's disgusting insinuations-that John Kerry "is losing it" regardless of his campaign's response.

I've been hearing that from all over the place lately. This is only my opinion, have others been hearing this too?

1. No
All I've heard is folks are mad at Bush dissing vets. One of Kerry's crew members lives in the area, and folks around here believe him and are madder than ever at the 'arrogant idiot'.

11. That's reassuring, This is an act of desperation imo.
Contemptable beyond words, at times.

2. Well, he isn't losing it
That's what the propaganda machine wants everyone to think, but ya know, the propaganda machine is sorta starting to sound like HAL from 2001. A little hollow and hysterical.

Said by bushbot of both Kerry and his campaign on MSNBC earlier today. :eyes:

8. yep! I have
been hearing it quite a bit lately. From young kids--it is going around. He "can't take it" he is "a cry-baby" that kind of thing.

The impression that he is trying to suppress free speech has hit him hard with the Democrats here. He needs to really clarify that he is not trying to decrease the free speech of anyone--particularly veterans.

14. Answer: He took it in Viet Nam and he's giving it back right now.
Answer to "crybaby": Only Republicans weep at the truth. Democrats prefer it.

17. sorry--no can do. This is happening
when I teach at the Sylvan Learning Center--I am not allowed to debate politics with the kiddies.

The only weapon in my arsenal is urging them to get back to work--and telling them that I am not allowed to discuss politics.

Certainly I would stick up for Kerry if I were talking to adults on my own time. But I will lose this job if I talk politics with the kiddies. I try to influence them--but subtly.

16. Starting to wear out this meme
Started when Dean and Gore made their speeches where they raised their voices. Now it apparently applies whenever a Democrat speaks without smiling. Running out of smear ideas.

15. I often just ask for a more specific answer-never get one.
Then I state that at least there is no doubt that John Kerry put his life on the line whereas with the other guy there are some questions regarding TANG that really haven't been answered.

6. Yes, no doubt Scotty and the other shrubco flying monkeys were
preprogrammed with this response if Kerry had ANY response whatsoever to the smear.

They have no video of a "Kerry scream" or anything like that, but they're gonna say this, and "wild-eyed" and all that stupid crap.

Remember, not all of their talking points work. Remember "Coalition of the Wild-Eyed?" Some are even more patently stupid than this, and slide quietly under the waves. But they will have a different one for each week.

7. They've placed him on the same track as
McCain. Like McCain was too screwed up from being a POW to be president. Now Kerry is "too" hotheaded or something to be president.

They also attacked Cindy McCain for her drug problem, so I expect more attacks on Theresa H. Kerry. As a matter of fact, I've been embroiled in a smear campaign against her on another board this week. Snoped 'em good, though.

10. Yep--I've heard that talking point making the rounds. . .
on TV and radio. Remember they've accused Al Gore of being wigged out after his MoveOn speech earlier in the year. And remember what they did to Dean? It's worked for them before.

21. McCain is too much of a flippy floppy guy for me....one day he's
telling everyone that what Bush is doing to Kerry is wrong and should be stopped, the next he's hugging Bush at the lectern. Maybe ol' John is just another crazy republician?

I often state that-I live deep in an enclave of the RW, Green Bay, and therefore am more exposed to this trash.

19. But Bush has already LOST IT! How many times has he lost his
composure talking to the press? Bush is very unstable to have his finger on the trigger. Bush makes me nervous, John Kerry is strong and steady, Bush is a hot head who thinks everyone is out to get him. He's a paranoid ego maniac.
