RNC/SwiftLiars would LOVE to "call it a draw" .... Don't fall for it!!
As the SwiftLiars find their boat sinking under the weight of facts coming out daily, the RNC is turning to "call it a draw" arguments.

Failing to destroy Kerry with these vicious smears, their second best outcome is to level the playing field in an area where Kerry is vastly superior.

Here are three ways we're hearing this, and no doubt it'll grow as people tire of the entire battle:

1. "It doesn't matter what either of them did 30 years ago." That would neutralize John Kerry's heroism, commitment to his country, and personal courage shown in Vietnam.

2. "They both served admirably." That takes all the heat off of Bush* for all the strange circumstances of his TANG "service."

3. "Kerry shouldn't have made his an issue in the first place, since he protested the war." Another way to try to erase his service and level the field with the AWOL Chimp, and additionally, an attempt to shame Kerry with innuendo that he did something disgraceful in his anti-war work.

Some talkshow-host person on Scarborough just said Kerry needs to "answer all the questions until there are no more questions." WHEN did the CHIMP DO THAT??? He runs from his questions.

That is why this is not equal, and will never be equal. Kerry has documented proof of his service, and it was service in country; Chimp has no documented proof of his "service," and it was (undeservedly) stateside. He admitted he wanted to avoid combat, whereas Kerry requested it. Yet it's Kerry who's under fire and told there are "questions?"!!!

Do NOT let them level this playing field. Please, do NOT fall into the trap of "It doesn't matter anyway." They made it matter, and they went wayyyy over the line.

1. Agreed! There should be NO equalizer here. Thanks for the reminder
The TRUTH matters.
They chose to LIE on these military service matters.

Like you said: "They made it matter, and they went wayyyyy over the line." And, like the BIG DOG says (paraphrasing): they're going to keep doing it, unless they are made to pay.

2. Notice how it really doesn't
matter how Kerry answers the questions or how many people come forward to refute the Swift Boat Liars. They can always come up with more questions.

Somehow the Kerry campaign has to get ahead of this "answer all the question" BS. It's BS. Pretty soon they will be demanding that he prvide Xrays of the schrapnle. Turn this around, and fast. Please.

5. There simply is no way to get ahead, as long as
the media keep pumping the story. And they will pump the story until something else comes along. If the eyewitness accounts of every single person who was with Kerry during those events who is still alive isn't good enough, what is?

3. The Washington Post Said Kerry Refused Interviews On The Subject...
I thought about it for awhile...

Then I realized it would be unseemly to discuss your own heroics...

7. So their story title is 'Both swift boat accounts incomplete'
Which as you say implies that Kerry is on a level with these lying bastards. This really makes me ill.http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A21239-2004Aug21?language=printer

13. Exactly -- that is what's behind the statement that
"neither has released ALL his records."

What do they want, Kerry's ear-wax exams?!

Grrrrr.... Makes me crazy!!

4. Yep. I've been seeing this
No way no how. Absolutely not. They started it, they can now deal with the consequences.

Even if Bush & Co. flip-flop on it.

6. That is precisely what I am hearing
followed by ( believe it or not ) why is the press just beginning to cover this story now that some vets are speaking out for Kerry? If not for the liberal media we could get on with discussion of real issues. &^%$#@#$%^&

11. Right!
Exactly as you say, now it's "Let's just put all that Vietnam stuff away, doesn't matter now," which means Kerry would have to remove it from his life experience and biography and never speak of it again without people groaning.

We can NOT let them win this.

15. Sorry...the blood is in the water, Chimpy Fans...we're coming to get you
Too late for chickenshit parlor talk now.

We (or at least I) will now be relentless and spank the crap out of the Repugs for daring to go there.

Get ready for your spanking, Chimpy fans. You want to talk about military records. Well...here's Johnny!
