My dad lost the sight of his right eye when he was hit by shrapnel in the North African Campaign during World War 2...He also contacted malaria.... He spent six months at Walter Reed .... They were able to save his eye cosmetically but not the sight....


He never sat at home wondering which of his fellow "vets" deserved their medals and which didn't...


I will not call Bob Dole some of the names I have seen on this board out of respect for the grievousness of his injuries...


I will say he is a mean and partisan man who puts politics ahead of everything-honor, principal, and basic human decency...


This is the man who called our nation's twentieth century wars Democratic wars...


This is the man who said Al Gore based his Gulf War 1 vote on which side would give him the most air time...


This is the man who carried Nixon's water to the end...

Please, Mr. Clinton, disassociate yourself from Bob Dole... He still has a presidential buddy- George Bush....

Bill is no fool -- and Bob is on the outs with Bush.

I'll let it play out. But meanwhile, I intend to write a very harsh letter to Mr. Dole for throwing his lot in with the SwiftLiars.
