1. Don't fool youself. They are harming him.
These liars need to be held to account. We must start with the President.

I am saying it is not really hurting like the media would like you to believe.

2. The Rasmussen Poll
has been remarkably consistent for the month. I will want to see what more independent polls indicate as well.

3. It looks like he may have slipped
in the last several days. He's been at 47, which he hadn't been for several days...Of course there was the convention bounce and he was at 49.

Rasmussen's tracking poll seems very difficult to make much sense out of but trends show a small slip. I'd also expect a Bush bounce during the convention.

Either way, Kerry's holding on OK. He's got at least a one point lead consistantly...It seemed to have tightened a bit over the weekend...

Oh well, I guess the tracking polls are good only for long term trends.

5. Did you see Bil Schneider's smarmy explanation?
Slithering Schneider says that Annenberg asked poll respondents if they had heard of the Swiftboat Liars' attack on JK.
Among the ones who said YES (less than 50% of respondents), JK dropped 9 points from where he was in the last poll (but Schneider doesn't mention that the last poll included All responses from ALL respondents and didn't ask about JK's military service.

The Annenberg graph (someone posted it earlier today) shows that JK has not been hurt by these lies.

This is how you slither...

6. I heard he has dropped 9 points
in these weeks since the convention with veterans. I can't understand how a vet could support Bush. I really can't believe it. I think he needs to do something quickly to get the discussion back on the issues. Maybe a big policy speech or a huge town hall with questions that would get some free media coverage.
