Kudos to Ron Brownstein! Responsibility lies with MEDIA as with Candidates

to stop focusing on the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth attacks. Brownstein, Los Angeles Times chief political writer and CNN political correspondent, said it has probably hurt Kerry more so far, but that it would also work to keep Bush from getting any message out this week.

Brownstein thinks it will crowd out all news, unless the media steps up. He mentioned reports due out this week on poverty levels and increased income gap between rich and poor which will probably be lost.

I salute him for trying. It is more than anyone else in the media has done.

1. Yea, he's usually pretty straight. I expect something from Lou Dobbs

on his show too. Guess we'll soon see.

One silver lining could be that it won't allow Bush to build up momentum going into the convention.
