2. I'm appalled that these questions even had to be asked
On the other hand the good news here is that 2/5 of Republicans are not persuaded by these Swift Boat Liars. I can't imagine that they have done much to move the polls more than 3 or 4 points, and even then, I think this has all peaked and that their "bounce" will be gone shortly.

5. It amazes me...
that once again, Kerry's war time activities receive all this scrutiny while W's remain vague and incoherent just like the chimp himself. Say what you want about Kerry...that he was looking to make a name for himself...he was looking for glory...he was trying to lay the foundation for a political future...AT LEAST HE WAS THERE (not just in country, but at least there is a record of him serving his time in some way). If all these people can come out of the woodwork to criticize and play armchair Swift Boat Captain about John Kerry's service, where the hell are all of W's friends, buddies, and critics? Where are the guys telling us W drank every night in the officer's club or W was a reckless fighter pilot that skipped out on physicals and lost his wings? How can so many people remember John Kerry and his service record, when it's constantly being said he is boring and tough to listen too, but a likable idiot like Bush that talks to the common man isn't remembered at all?

6. That might be good news
were it not for the only tolerance the GOP exhibits. Allowing their guy to do or say anything they don't agree with until it hits their pocketbook. Ask rather if it affects their vote that Bush is trashing Kerry and they will say Bush is not behind it or no, it is regrettable but it doesn't matter.

That is generalizing actually since all sorts of Republicans are deserting Bush in a much angrier fashion than they deserted any other candidate.

There was appoint when that should have dawned on the realists(if any) but now they are stuck him and a losing situation where winning is looking worse to anyone with a brain or conscience left.

8. this is good...
that means Repubs are evenly split about the Swift Boat Liars.

Which means more than a few are disgusted at those jerk-nazis.

after the filthy smear campaign half of the repukes still know that Kerry deserved the medals, I see that as positive.
